If you want to browse through all cars in the game (minus the 6 pre-order variants of autoshow cars) you can do so by making a blueprint and make it completely custom. At the part where you can handpick which cars are allowed for blueprints you get to see the full list: autoshow cars, barn finds, all horizon edition cars, DLC cars you might not own, and the 7 "missing"cars which are 3 skill shop cars and 4 midnight race rewards. And handy and nifty list to browse through in-game like your own garage.
I know that at least 3 different Pontiacs where shown as being in the game, but on the website on the page that lists all of the cars, Pontiac isn’t even listed among the manufacturers. Were they removed from the game or did this just get overlooked and missed somehow?
Anyone else notice that they forgot to include Pontiac on the website listing of the cars in game? They are in the game, I’ve seen them and my friend owns one, but it seems odd that they were missed on the Cars page of the website.
Annoying there’s no SLR considering there was a screenshot of it. More annoying though is no Porsche. Considering they were added as dlc in the last two games you’d have thought they’d be in this from the go. What’s with that?
Also didn’t realise there’s no Volkswagon in this until the game came out. Seems another strange one.
Porsche was on sub-license from EA, due to exclusive licensing which was supposed to expire sometime this year. Around Forza 3 EA no longer allowed T10 to sub-license Porsche, so they were not in the games at initial release, so deals were made and Porsche became DLC. It has been like that ever since.
Volkswagon was announced to no be in the game a few months back I believe and it was their decision I believe.
What was due to expire this year? The EA exclusivity? Or the sublicense they had paid for?
I assume you mean the EA exclusivity. I mean, Porsche is coming to Assetto Corsa and I can’t believe the tiny Kunos Simulazioni team would be able to pay for the use of Porsche from EA, let alone want to.
Oh, jeez. EA’s license with Porsche has been “expiring this year” since 2011, lol. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard that line. It’s an unfounded rumor.
Here’s what you guys need to know: T10’s use of Porsche is dependent on EA. As of Horizon 2, they’ve negotiated a deal where EA will allow Porsches to be in T10’s games, but not from the start (AKA, DLC). That’s how it worked in Horizon 2, in FM6, and how it will most probably work in Horizon 3.
