I don’t use the graphics from the APU, that’s why I have the 750 Ti. The slightly barmy set up is because it was upgraded from a shop bought computer which utilised an A4-6300, hence the A10-6800k instead of an equivalent FX. It doesn’t really struggle with anything, GTA V runs at 1080p@30fps on high and it never lifts off that, although I could run it at 60fps I choose not to. Pretty much everything else runs at 60fps. The main thing is circuit racers like this should run on most hardware at 60fps, maybe open world games like Horizon at 30fps.
The biggest issue is what the minimum requirements really mean. Is it 1080p 60FPS at lowest settings? Or being able to run the game at all? I bet that the minimum refer to the lowest graphical settings at 1080p resolution and 60FPS.
I mean come on, if an Xbone can run this game at 60FPS at 1080p, it definitely shouldn’t be an issue to play the game at lower resolutions with the latest Intel HD’s or even the 4000 ones.
1080p on consoles and 1080p on PC can be to different animals if the developer polished it correctly.
On PC your able to hold more particles and objects on the screen due to PC upgrade flexibility.
On console your stuck with the same hardware so the developer has to work around that. With APEX they are going all guns out meaning you may see details that were not there on console. If this happens to be so, then this type of 1080p with massive detail will struggle on console. This is my experience with other PC games that were watered down on console.
I asked nullaffiliation from twitter (He is the guy that post gameplay of apex weeks ago) how good the performance is. He uses a gtx 950 and an i5 4690 on ultra and apex runs pretty well. Since the last build, he has some issues from Dx12. Hopefully Turn 10 fixed the issue
