Community improving career mode.

Just a quick post to check if anyone else is enjoying the impact of the community on career mode?

At launch the Drivatars used community created designs, but this was limited so the designs sometimes were sometimes duplicated. Worst case was a gold and black design which ended up on 5 cars in one of my races (2 NSX Type R’s, 2 350Z’s and an RX-7).

No however almost every Drivatar is unique, and they are using more and more variety in their designs. This is making the game come alive in my opinion.

Also, I’m noticing the Drivatar cars don’t all use the same tunes. Even using the same car, some Drivatars will have Forza body kit, some will have roll-cages and some will have stock appearance.

It’s nice that everything feels individual now. I imagine this will keep getting better and better.

lol, I know what you mean those same black and gold designs on those jdm’s were very anoying
but as to tunes and upgrades many drivatars still seem to use the ingame quick upgrade feature, at least it seems so

Are the Driveatars improving on Forza 5. If so how fast are they improving.

How do you want us to rate that improvement? The Drivatars have improved by 34 Internet’s.

They have improved in that they have collected a lot of data to pull from. They behave very differently from how they did two months ago. They’re awful aggressive, though, so it’s up to you if that is bad, but so long as players play bumper-cars that isn’t going to change.

i find it really annoying… all you do in the first lap is crash into each other while first and second get away from the pack…
by the time you are clear of the pack your car is so damaged its impossible to handle for the rest of the race…

very annoying turn 10… makes me think that this could thing isn’t all it was cracked up to be and ai was the better route.

Why not try running a clean first lap instead of crashing into everything. You know, you don’t have to jump from 14th place to 1st before the first turn to win.

On topic… I think that the quality and difficulty of the drivatars is definitely improving. I just got back to doing some career races this weekend and felt like the races were much more competitive.

They’ve improved, but I have still decided to go to Rivals for a while.

I find my lap times have improved dramatically.

i dont always love the way they drive…reckless into corners or the what seems to be 2 cars slowing you down to let the top 3-5 get a big lead. however i do agree that it adds a little something to it. kind of like in COD when you played people on your FL. you know its not them but yet you can take or make it a little more personal.

its a little thing but its a good little thing IMO

I thought it was just me. but I guess they really are improving. I thought it was easier to avoid some of the first turn stuff.

But this feeling that they are more aggressive based off of proximity to other cars and this variable speed/brake point accuracy based off of whether in front or behind-- I still think some of the cars become sluggish in turns when you’re behind, yet become very aggressive when they’re behind. The same car is fighting me whether I’m behind or in front… because he’s got some kind of dynamic adjustments going on.

At first I thought this was purely the AI being held up/slowed down by other cars. So of course, if there are 4 cars ahead they ALL will slow down because of each other, thus early brake point. When you’re in front, you’ve gotten past the clusters, everyone is racing free, so yes, of course the nearest AI behind is no longer slowing down. So it makes sense? No. because when I’m a part of the cluster, they are not slowing down behind me. It’s conditional to keep the racing interesting. I do not like that one aspect. Don’t change your driving, just be a drivatar.

I sometimes wonder if the people who complain so bitterly about the drivatars ever watch real motor racing. There are uncountable instances of drivers getting into their cars to start a race, getting to turn1 and being taken out by someone else’s error. Be glad that we don’t have drivatars trained by Romain Grosjean and Pastor Maldonado…

The drivatars actually seem to behave better than a large portion of the genuine people who are training them. For evidence, just go play multiplayer for a few hours in public lobbies.

Why do so many people expect that they can drive like complete noobs themselves in a racing game, but then complain about the AI you are a racing against when it acts in a similar way to how you are driving yourself? Are you amongst the 85% of drivers on the leaderboards who can’t manage to post a clean lap time?

Sorry if this all sounds confrontational, but the amount of posts from people whining about drivatars is getting really tiring. You don’t like the way they drive? Do your bit to make yours a clean racing drivatar! It’s not rocket science…
