Civic Monthly Rival problem

restrictions say car must be D class

restriction not being enforced. Cars all the way up to R class are showing up.

I’m OK either way - just thought someone should know

Dave

looks like the exploit really got out of hands this time. The Top 251 positions are exploited, plus a lot after that too. Just had a very good lap, but I am only 280th, but am the 12th D-Class time.
But it’s nothing to be excited about, maybe the fast guys stay away from it, or already have an exploited time, and would be way faster than me in D-Class too.

Hope Turn10 will find a fix for that exploit, but it’s already known long time, and they haven’t found out yet, so it may still take some time.

It’s ridiculous that user’s do this! All for the sake of a high spot on the LB? What have you done really, nothing, your position is invalid to the restriction.

I was told a couple months back. That some do this as a mistake… But then you find the same names across the boards and you realize, they must be not very intelligent or its on purpose. I rarely run monthly rivals unless it really peeks my curiosity any more.

I might just go through the LB of the cheaters and start blocking accounts good racers and all. It’s pathetic.

*** sorry a bit cranking because the government thinks its a freaking time lord. Why should we use the suns placement in sky to tell the time as we have done for thousands of years - what did those people know.

I must admit I did it COMPLETELY on accident (otherwise why would I have done C-Class…)

I didn’t look at the restrictions and clicked on the race. It asked me to choose a car, I chose my civic which was class A tuned at the time and it told me that it was not setup for that race so I looked at my tunes not knowing which restriction it was and picked C (both because I guessed it would be C as well as it was the lowest Tune I had made) and it began. Normally when the game ISN’T broken, it tells me my car is still not eligible, but instead it went ahead so I assumed I had the right car. Annoying to say the least, I would much rather be competing at the intended restrictions.

And I followed DAGZ by choosing my C class car when chasing his time, didn’t realise it was a D class event as I usually just skip right to friends when looking at the event leaderboards. Apologies

Will make sure I look at the restrictions from now on.

Yeah sorry Ghosty, I think I did that to a bunch of us. All but 1-2 people on my friends list with a recorded time are racing C-Class :(.

Not exactly your fault fella, if the game worked as intended with the events then it would;d not happen. I chose my Civic and it went right into the event which is why I assumed it was ok.

noticed this the other day…if you load up a tune at the pre race screen (after you already have selected a legal car) you can use any class car…it’s stupid

I check the restrictions every time before I enter an event, just to make sure I have the right class car for the event. In any case even if I forget to check it has never let me use a higher class car for the event. it just kicks back to the event (pick car/buy car screen) if I try to use something out of class. Not sure how these people do it, but it is upsetting. As long as these exploits are available to be used there are some that will continue to do it and mess up the LB’s for the rest of us normal racers that just try to put up honest good times, or have a realistic challenge to try to beat people in the correct class car.

I am not sure how difficult it really is to hit a button and check the class of the event so a person knows to be in the right class car in the first place, then there is no confusion or invalid entry by some glitch. seems easy enough to hit a button, check restrictions then back out and go tune the car or pick a different one in your livery that meets the restrictions?
