Hi All,
Question of chrome letters and other shapes… does anyone know of how to achieve this effect via standard pallet colours and opacity settings on each layer?
The only way I was able to achieve chrome letters effect was via outlining the text with the use of various shapes and basically having actual letter hollow. Then I put chrome paint as base paint on my vehicle and apply the decal. This however is an extremely lengthy process, especially if you are using various fonts.
Any help is appreciated.
Thank you.

Got ya, it’s a shame as all the faffing about outlining each letter takes really long, especially if you have various other colors going through “underneath” the letters.
You can always try and fake it when it’s not an option to have a chrome paint base underneath. That’s what I attempted to do with the ‘Dark Knight’ text on my GT-R.

From a distance it doesn’t look too bad … but of course up close it’s still regular vinyl and there will be no reflections in the chrome or anything like that. This process takes a bit of work too … and the use of various colors, shapes, shading and outlining to do … so I don’t know which way is the better method. I really wish we had the option of using the same ‘special colors’ on vinyls that we have in the paint shop. Are you listening T10??
Paint the logo as normal then trace around it to make the hollow version…2 logos for the price of 1 lol

Yeah would be good if T10 could make it user friendly in that respect.
I’ll have to persevere with my current way of doing it, will probably drop some pics on the forum of my decals just to get peoples opinions.
Thanks again to everyone for such quick replies.
It would be horrible if they did that.
