I just left Shanghai after 3 years. So yeah, I know that the situation with Forza is simply HORRIBLE.
I had a 50M China Telecom fiber optic connection + VIP international traffic priority, open NAT etc…but I still couldn’t find liveries and couldn’t play online most of the time.
I could be wrong here, but I think it has something to do with the Chinese government not wanting you guys to see it, like they might have said to Turn 10 “you can bring your game here, but no storefront” or whatever, again I could be wrong, but it does seem very plausible this is why you can’t access it. The Chinese governmentis very sensitive with this stuff.
The “great firewall” of China is most likely blocking content because you know, the government knows what’s best for you. Speculation of course, though most likely.
There is a strong censorship policy in mainland China. Many topics are forbidden from sharing on the Internet, and thousands of popular websites are banned. Designs shared could feature a topic that is censored in China, especially those that are against the Chinese government. No way to bypass that, I’m afraid.
