Cheaters on the demo

What’s with the half track cutters on the high speed circuit there over twenty sec faster then a legit time.

Im pretty sure everyone was just following your rival time ghost. And they beat your times too.

Hard to follow my ghost when I don’t have one.

you do you may not know it but you do it gets put in with your time if you made a lap time for that track then others will see a rival lap time to beat like in Motorsports 5 & 4 to me this keeps the game very competitive & players will be better racers from seeing your ghost if you race his ghost you will do better too (its all good just keep on it & you will get a better lap time)

Cheaters will always cheat, even on demos

The game is designed this time round to cut the track.

Ya it maybe designed to cut corners but you still have to go through the checkpoint. Which on this particular they only go through four or five checkpoints then cut across a field to the finish.

That i did not know…not good and poor game design if people have found a way to cheat already.

OP is not wrong. This was back when one of the leaderboards was legit. The top guy there had a very reasonable time, albeit quick. However by the end of the night there were people posting sub 1 minute times. You are not shaving off that much time on that track given the cars we currently have. I understand there are shortcuts which can save a lot of time (I use them) but as someone that can keep up with the top 10 I’m telling you at no point is it possible to find another 30 seconds (not sure what the leaderboard for the first rally course looks like anymore).

The game unfortunately has no rules. That’s the cool thing about it. But at the same time that’s the problem with it. What I don’t get, is why a circuit has to have walls anyway, and they are only going to be walls on the outside of turn? Why put any walls at all, why not just keep it wide open? Hopefully the glitch will be fixed by the game release, but with only a couple weeks, there will probably be a lot more with the full game.

It may not be the player’s fault, and it may be a glitch that was unknown until now. Reminiscent of the supersonic speeds were putting up on FH when it first game out. They eventually scrubbed those times once the glitch was fixed.

Are you really surprised that some people cheat ? Learn to live with it because it will probably get worse when the full game is released.

Ahhhh, those times are still up there today dude, and if they execute this game in the same poor manor, by not caring about the leaderboards, then this game will be quickly ignored. Please turn 10, if you just take the walls out and make it open world racing, like the game says it is, then we wouldn’t be here. If this is what the real games going to be like, im not wasting my time.

Yes, I’m sure that wiping the leaderboards on a free demo that doesn’t even save your progress is a priority for them right now.

Not sure what you’re talking about in reference to walls. Even in the demo the map is very much open with only minimal barriers, far from the restricted fenced-off areas in the original Horizon. If you mean the temporary barriers on the turns for the circuit race, it was exactly like that in the first game - close off the roads to traffic and build a temporary makeshift race track. There are also spectators behind the barriers. If you don’t want barriers then there will be street races for that.

There are a lot of glitched times in the leaderboards. It won’t be much surprise if it’ll be the same thing in Forza Horizon 2.

Damn… I thought going under 1.50’s was good!

It seems that some people have found a loop hole. I’m glad it was discovered in the demo.

You know how if you miss a checkpoint it gives you a 3 second countdown so you can get back or rewind? If you can get to the finish line before the countdown ends your lap time will count.

The glitch is known now they’ll fix it for the real game.

Well that explains it and I am legit racer so I am fast after all

It’s entirely possible, being a demo, that not all the rules & regulations are in place.
