I’m asking to the devs to do something about the challenges to be done during each season do not require having to do a Horizon Play or any other mode that requires playing online to unlock the challenge. It becomes unbearable when a player quits in the middle of a game because he is losing.
I believe that as long as a player leaves the current game, the challenge should be completed as a victory for us. Knowing that for the Toge for example, you have to do the 3 races of the championship to get the challenge completed.
Do you think I have time to try again and again because a bad loser is quitting the game?
That’s definitely a valid concern. This season, we have a challenge that requires you to complete a Touge Showdown in any Mazda. I had trouble with it myself because I didn’t have a properly tuned Mazda in every class, and there was no way I could beat anyone with a stock one.
I haven’t had anyone quit on me, and when I was losing, I didn’t quit either. However, that doesn’t change the fact that it would be incredibly frustrating if the challenge didn’t count because the other player left the event.
I haven’t been able to enter any races in a Mazda because it always says that there’s no one available. Seems hard to believe so early in the existence of the game. Hot Wheels in FH5 could take ages to find someone to race a championship with, which is entirely understandable but this seems odd.
But now I can’t complete a cross country race for the daily requirement because selecting one freezes the game. Looks like a repeat of FH5’s early days, when missed requirements meant no gold for the first season.
That’s actually pretty strange that there was a message saying there were no opponents/players available. I’ve never come across anything like that on Xbox. Maybe it’s something to do with your internet connection or some kind of firewall that’s blocking multiplayer features? Unless you really ran into a server-side issue with the game, or maybe it was just one of those times when hardly anyone was online? Although that seems impossible — people play FH6 day and night.
I did the challenge with a Mazda RX-8, my opponent had a MX-5 with a widebody kit. I won the first race easily, I let the player won the second race waiting at the start for a few minutes (which I couldn’t even catch up), and in the last race, we were close each other. I crashed on the last corner, and all the guy could say to me in a private message was “Hahaha.” I told him I didn’t care about winning, I just wanted to complete the challenge and that I could have easily won the second race, but I didn’t want him to quit at the end of the second on
I tried it again, with the same result. However there was another pop-up mentioning a connection issue, but I have no problem seeing other people on the map and my console reports no problems with connecting to Xbox Live. I’ve completed a couple of Parties/Arcade too, so it’s most peculiar.
