I’ve reached a ranking level but the achievement has not unlocked.

I did get disconnected due to inactivity (I ended up on my roof, couldn’t right myself and the game wouldn’t respawn me and I couldn’t reset my car position) but I still got a rank. Could it be linked to that?

Could be. Have you completed another ranked race since? Try that if you haven’t yet.

If you are on Xbox, power cycling is always good practice when having an issue (unplugging it).
