Casio G-Shock Car Pack

I cant even get the pack to show up in game

Really, still same incorrect rear suspension on the f150. You think it would be easier to model it properly physical then it would be to have modeled it visually like they have.
At least all is good on the bronco in that department. With 205 hp it is a lot faster then I thought it would be too

I like the pack,its different!!!

+1

There are cars included I never even heard about. Will be fun to check them.

First impressions are AWESOME:

  • The Shelby F-150 overall for it’s tier feels a lot better, tranny is different…more aggressive shifts, more grunt, faster climb rate uphill too + it SOUNDS a lot better that the stock F-150…that shelby exhaust sounds great and overall the engine sounds just a lot more powerful and grunty, welcome changes
  • Ford Bronco…wow, what a little puller! 3 gear tranny with a long pull acorss the RPM a lot quicker than expected stock, but for 408 D class you’d expect as much. The engine is GREAT, wow, It sounds REALLY good and DAMN IS IT LOUD on the hood/bonnet view mmm what a rough, and throaty V8 noise it has, the tone is so strong at time it causes my windows to vibrate a little bit and it certainly eargasms at HIGH RPM too! Brill :D, the suspension on it is awesome…wow, handles bumps incredibly well so I wonder what a storm island suspension mod would do for it
  • Subaru BRAT…wow, slow but damn does it LOOK and SOUND amazing! MEAN ASS flat-4 sound and DAT EXHAUST NOTE :open_mouth: woah…was NOT expecting such a crisp burble around 2-500rpm omg does that sound nice, so so nice, interior and hood/cam once again LOUD and different and it sounds mean as hell at higher rpms and seems to do really well with the power it has especially on bumps! God this thing is fun to drive…new fav subby :D.

Tea now…others later, but so far…Physics and Sound for this pack are TOP NOTCH and worth the buy outright. That BRAT for me is definately one of the best sounding cars in the game and i’d argue the Bronco is up there too, so far, very happy!

OK, whoa, whoa, whoa, folks. As Verrukt said: to even suggest throwing a console is a little much. Let’s all take a breath, as Ray Ferraro counselled Nick Patan’s parents to do after he scored a hat trick at this year’s World Junior Hockey Champs. Too vague a reference? Sorry, but I’m Canadian, and that win last night is still fresh in my mind!

Anyway, there have been a lot of good responses in this thread (as there always are with these DLC announcements), and I think the one common theme that people need to remember is how varied/diverse the car/truck world is. I can bet that almost every car T10 releases in their games has a following. Maybe it’s an owner’s club. Maybe it’s movie lovers who think the '67 GT500 is the best thing ever to happen to muscle/pony cars, or cars in general. Maybe it’s the person that has fond memories of going on road trips as a kid in the Ford Country Squire. I mean, heck, I learned to drive in a Mercury Villager, so whenever I see one of these, I smile (and sneer when I see a Quest of the same vintage LOL).

I work in the car industry, and I have come across such a vast variety of vehicle fanclubs, and I’m continually surprised by how diverse they are; I recently came across a club that features only Series I Defenders. That’s it. Another that a colleague of mine met drives only Toyota pickups.

The Bronco seems to be getting quite a lot of hate, here, which really surprises me because these things are incredibly popular and are often credited with ushering in the era of SUVs. I’m not really a truck guy, but I want one of these. Badly.

For everyone who complains about a single vehicle in the pack, step back a sec and ask yourself: is there at least one car in every pack that I like? If you answered “yes”, then that’s a pretty impressive feat. And be honest with yourself; I’ll bet you’ll surprise yourself.

Right, the pack: Hope we can swap a proper 'Yote V8 into that Bronco. Paint it like a BAWS, and Bob’s your uncle. AWESOME.

IDX: I get the cultish following the original 510 has–especially 'round these boards–but I’m pretty meh-ish about this one. Some races with the BRZ could be fun.

BRAT: So off the wall, and oh-so-cool because of it. A cult classic. But can we add a box cover?

MS3: Very fun, fast car IRL, but for some reason doesn’t translate that well to a video game. Still belongs here, though.

500 Mondial: A 4-cylinder? in a Ferrari?!?!!? No WAY!!! What a FANTASTIC addition this is. + 1,000,000 to whoever suggested trying to mimic the 1,000 Miglia with it. Just imagine the classic car races we can now have!

Shelby Raptor: There’s lots to like about this car below the surface, but I’m still not sure how I feel about these cars that seem to be tweaked originals. Again: this works well IRL, but in a vid game, with infinite possibilities, well, not quite so much.

Still nothing for me :frowning:

The pack isn’t good, but it isn’t bad either. It follows the same path of the other car packs so far for FH2. They’re all “just ok.” I’m personally disappointed, because after Storm Island I was looking forward to getting some new muscle or exotic cars. I won’t post my list of 5 or so cars (from previous Forza games) that should be in this game here though. I’ll post it in the wishlist thread. Though, let’s be real, my suggestions are probably pointless in the outcome of future packs.

And another Raptor…REALLY??? What is the point?

We needed more Shelby vehicles I guess. Please remember that the daytonas are just about the only Shelbies we will see that are not modified fords.

Off-roaders are the focus because of the Storm Island expansion. I don’t know why this is surprising anyone.

All in all the cars in the pack don’t really mean much to me, but I appreciate the quirky nature of the bunch. Lots of new stuff.

I like it…and could care less if a small handful of obnoxious whiners don’t… but it was a entertaining read

Thank you thank you thank you for the BRAT! It’s awesome and we got some cool body kit parts. And cheap too, 2700 credits?!?! I’ll take six!

To the people whining, yall do realize this is forza horizon 2 right? This game is designed to be a mix of off road and street racing… We just got an off road expansion pack, so yea I’m not surprised at all about getting several off road cars in this pack. Now in fm5 I feel very diff about off road vehicles, imho they have no place in a simulation circuit racing game. I think they are a waste of time and space that could have been used for a sports car of some type. But as stated above this is horizon… Get over it or quit playing.

That’s pretty rude. Just because some people (including long-time fans like myself) are disappointed doesn’t mean everyone needs to freak out about them. Respect the opinions of others.

Here in the UK I have downloaded a pack that fits the bill. 5 out of 6 is pretty good for me. The free Mazda I can live without.
Can we now have a Cruise Pack? Led Sled, Hot Rod, Rat Rod, VW Beach Buggy, Holden Effigy etc… ???

I find the cars in the pack to be pretty cool. Sure, it doesn’t meet everyone’s tastes in cars, but I like all types of vehicles, even rowboats and hot-air baloons!

I find the focus on off-road cars to be reasonable with Storm Island. We get a concept car that looks like that it’s ready for off-road (Nissan IDx NISMO), a possible El Camino inspiration (Subaru BRAT), a special edition Raptor (Ford SVT Raptor Shelby), an ORV (Ford Bronco, I’m surprised it’s not the 1991 version that OJ Simpson had in the infamous car chase), and a hot hatch that would be good for off-road (Mazdaspeed 3). We even get a classic race car (Ferrari 500 Mondial).

Remember guys, this isn’t the end of the world. Life isn’t perfect, either. If you want exotics or whatever, please use the car wishlist thread. This pack’s cars surprised me, no doubt about it, but hopefully people change their minds once they actually play with the cars.

I like that we have some brand new cars in the game.
It would be nice if they offered the G-Shock 370Z to everyone as well.

So glad I didn’t waste my money on the Car Pass when you get a car pack like this

  • The nissan 2015 is…interesting, certainly not what i expected with it’s rather small engine, but damn does it LOOK great even if it hasn’t got the most “interesting” of engine notes it still sounds good, not sure where I would “use” it but will see, looks like it would be good for street, circuit and casual offroad routes, great looker
  • Mazda 3 is a mazda 3, looks damn good in the rain and to be fair has been recorded with a pleasantly grunty engine note, plus it’s quicker than I expected even if it just a mazda 3, may or may not use it much.
  • 500 Mod Ferrari…wow, it’s QUICK! Plus a 4C engine really makes a different, light and fast, makes a damn good D-class drag car (peaking 140mph on the runway drag), sounds great too, and once again looks…looks really just right. May use this in D events a lot actually, next to the bronco.

My favourite cars are definately the Nissan, the Bronco and the BRAT, the two offroaders sounding and performing excellently and the Nissan looking great, with the Shelby F-150 not far behind with it’s engine sound and performance followed by the others.

Overall from me a 8.5/10 pack let down a bit by the Mazda and that the Nissan doesn’t “sound” as good as it looks, so a joint 1st place from me next to the Storm Island cars and NAPA pack.
