Finished Career, now working on leveing up cars. What needs to be fixed is the XP system. It makes no sense.
They designed the system to level your cars, but heavily penalize you for the AI. The AI has an incredible knack for crashing into you almost everytime you pass. So what does this mean.
Well now that entire sector you score 1 out of 10 for that sector. Severly reducing the XP you should have earned. Also to note, you have to try avoid these other drivers, thus pulling yourself off of the ideal driving line. Reducing the possibilty of scoring high on that sector. Being penalized, you guessed it, by the AI. You get a mere pittance for passing a car.
Any time you pass AI you should get a multiplyer on your sector score. Enough to balance out having to be off your driving line. So where things get even worse is lapped traffic.
Lapped traffic gives you 0 points for passing. Yet can easily cost you xp by having to drive off your line to pass them. What amplifies this even more, is if you pass the lapped traffic for no points, they hit you, sector score goes down to 1 of 10.
So Turn 10 should take a look at this and implement some scoring adjustments.
What also would be much better is another multiplyer for the level of the AI. 10 points per level of AI passing would be pretty decent and encourage people to try against even harder AI. Reducing it to 10 points lapped traffic. This would help not having to grind cars for hours and hours.
(If you don’t actually do career events and just autodrive, please keep your opinions to yourself. Some people actually like to legit level up cars via career)
