So my roommate and I use the X1 game sharing, he bought the car pass so we could share it. So i downloaded it to but my dlc cars are not free in game, but his are. How can i fix this?
It sounds like the one-free-purchase is a benefit for the DLC purchaser only, like VIP benefits vs the ability to access cars. If that’s true there’s probably no way to ‘fix’ it other than buying a second Season Pass. See this Q&A in the Forza 5 Game FAQ:
