Car pass not recognized?!

I tried to get on and play this morning. Xbox One, I have the full, get everything version of the game, VIP with car pass. Wanted to drive my '74 Honda Civic which l had already painted and tuned and driven many times in the past, and this “wonderful” game is telling me that this is a DLC car that I must purchase.

I’m just about done with this game and this buggy, break one thing while fixing another, fashion dance show of a “racing” game!

And yeah, submit a ticket. I honestly don’t have the patience or the blood pressure meds available to go through the process of submitting a ticket to get ignored or no response for weeks. I’m just done!

Experienced same thing earlier today then suddenly all is fine now. My loading times are darn slow though.

Yep. Maybe Hot Topics or whatever that “mall store” is must be dropping off more sparkly blazers and tiger print wellies, slowing things down a bit.

If on console, is it home console? This helps to set home console to purchasing account for those times when live is wonky(this has nothing to do with the game).

Also, even if set to home console, other accounts signed in on that console might have a hard time access dlc such as car pass cars.

I’ve found that if I go to manage game for fh4, then select see in Microsoft store. Scroll down to car pass and click it. You should see install when on car pass page. This initiates the install of every individual car pass car file(all 42).

I have to install all individual car pass files on my non home consoles as even when purchasing account is signed in, alias accounts can’t access those cars until files are installed. And on home console, when live is wonky, it generally corrects the issue by having them installed as well.

Shouldn’t have to, but it works for me, so that’s what I do.

Thanks for the advice. It’s working now but also a bit slow. It is a console, not my home console. My son and I share. But I have the disc version if that matters. Also everything was purchased on this console.

I started working so it’s not the end of the world. I’m just so past tired of the issues and missing things(rivals) and other things that just don’t make sense.

It’s not the console that purchases the content that matters, as it was with the 360, it’s the purchasing account.

Disc/digital doesn’t matter as with disc, you would have had to enter the codes for the add-ons, which essentially makes those digital.

So if those were redeemed under your son’s account, in or for you to use them, his account would need to be signed in, or the console set to his home console. Likewise, the reverse applies if you are redeemer, and your son wants to use it.
