Anyone think they might add horns to Forza Horizon 2? This will be good for counting down in street races online. And i guess a way to annoy your friends.
Putting something in for annoyance sake just isn’t the best of ideas in my opinion.
Bad enough for friends to annoy other friends with it, just think how bad it would be with randoms doing it to annoy you? No thanks. And using your voice is really the best countdown method, as latency lag could cause someone else to hear the horns at different times from others. Not as much of a case using voice chat for that.
So overall, I’d give a no to horns.

There are only so many buttons on a controller, I think it would be a waste to dedicate a button to a horn.
Theres buttons which are useless on Forza 5.

The left stick click works best to not abuse the use of horns. It is hard to steer when you are holding down the left stick and would be a big mistake for a precision game like Forza.

I remember; in MCLA, if you horned and someone in a brick mod car was there, the guy would come at you, because the horn is louder for them.
I remember horns in DiRT 3 (they could even be personalised), but they were really annoying, because once someone started honking lots of people replied (by honking, of course). So instead of nice engine sounds the only thing you could hear was car horns.
Horn would be cool especially in Horizon 2, but it’s not really necessary.
I can live without horns in any racing game.

Test proven the use of horns in GTA5. No one has ever use it during a race and I have 600 races on record. It is only used constantly during the count down at times or if they are avoiding an accident or get hit. It would not do anything to the game’s integrity, but will only make Turn10 work more to get horns in for every production car.
I found myself trying to honk the horn in Forza 4 when there was a spin out in front of me.
My opinion it would be awesome because we never had that in Forza Horizon it could be a okau addition to the series although yes it would get annoying after awhile but hey we have audio controls for a reason right?
If you do a cruise and someone has to stop immediatly, would you like to horn or pretend to horn?
Midnight ClubL.A.; the trafic horns were so badly synchronised, trafic horns at you for no reason on the highway when you’re behind them.

Audio controls? You mean kinect/mic? …so you want to yell “HONK” to the mic every time you want to honk the horn? I’d rather use valuable button space. But I still don’t see myself ever using a horn unless I’m trolling. But let’s be honest, everyone hates that.
I’d like to have customizable horns. A 69 Charger, dixie horn and more air time than a skateboard at the X games. Doubt it’ll happen because the horn would be considered offensive.
