So I’m playing Forza horizon 4 on my PC, and my son tries to fire it up on the Xbox. My profile automatically logged in, and he logged in and it said "you’re already playing on another device, stop playing on that device first. Figured it was because I was just playing on the xbox earlier so I logged out of my profile, restarted the game, and now it’s saying my son doesn’t own the game. What gives? We played on-line together between xbox and PC on FH3 but now you can only use one profile at a time on the game?
I’m seriously confused and can’t find any settings. restarted the xbox. I logged in, then switched to his profile. Then I opened it forza horizon 4. Now it’s working, but I didn’t have to keep my profile logged in before. So what is going on exactly?
You can’t play on one profile on two devices at the same time because of saves. Your son should play on his own profile. That’s all.
I get that but the issue is I was in my profile on PC, he was on his on the Xbox, and he was getting the error. Then after I logged my profile out it was saying he didn’t own the game. After I rebooted, logged in, switched to his profile it finally worked but I didn’t have to log in before just so the game would think he owned it, don’t get why I have to now
I figured it out. DIsregard. Earlier this year, my father in law got an xbox one s so he could play games with my son when he came over. I logged in on it so I could share the games. Apparently he also set it as the home console. I set mine back as the home console and now everything is working fine.
