I was lucky enough to have a friend ask for two unicorns to be sent to me after they won a photo mission, unfortunately they never got to me. I sent a message to the person who runs the contest and he sent them again but still nothing. Has this happened to anyone else and does anyone have the solution?

Yeah, I am the same way. I have actually been chosen in a few contests as well to not have any unicorns show up in my messages.
I have done the same things as you, but again like you, to no avail.
I think there is an issue linked with this, can people search by your GamerTag in the Store? When you search for mine it says no results were found. Just an observation.
It would be great if someone from T10/PG could give us a ray of hope please. I know the game is on its last legs, but I still love this game and will more than likely still be playing even after Horizon 2 comes out. I would really love to have the unicorns to add to my collection, and medal count.

Hey CFunk, no they can’t see my photo storefront… that’s the only thing “wrong” with my Horizon profile. I really want the remaining three unicorns!
Send an email to forzafb@microsoft.com with all your details and the details of the issue (looks like the servers aren’t seeing you for some reason). You will get an auto reply so don’t stress about it when it arrives.

I did that a couple of months back. Got the auto reply and have been waiting since, hoping it gets fixed.
Something weird did happen a little while ago while I was playing Horizon, I started getting notifications that I was receiving messages, but they were messages that I had already received and read. Xbox live messages, not Horizon messages.
I don’t know, here is to hoping that was the issues being resolved. 
Now, if I can somehow get picked in the photo contest tomorrow…
CFunk, I too had old messages appearing a few weeks ago, but before that I couldn’t send messages to non friends for maybe a year. (sometimes they would send if I hit send 50 times!). The old messages have stopped and I can send anyone a message now.
