Can you paint for a DLC car without the DLC?

You don’t have to own the car to make a paint for it, but for DLC cars, do you have to have the DLC to paint for the cars?

I’m asking because I have a DLC code and already have the season pass, so I was thinking of holding a design contest on some of the new cars with the DLC as a prize, but wanted to find out if it was even possible first.

I don’t think you would be able to because the DLC is downloaded and the cars files are added to the game. I think that is the same reason you can’t see DLC cars when you race with them. While you might be able to paint them I would find it highly unlikely.

You can see DLC cars even if you don’t have the pack.

Okay, I’ve got the season pass so I was under the impression that we were treated to the same null-car VW goodness.

No you can not unfortunately. Only if you buy the DLC, you can paint the cars
