C Class 99' Civic

I was wondering from anybody else who has tuned a 99’ Civic for C class, how much success they’ve had with it. This Car just goes for me. I mean I put together a little rough tune for Mugello and boom top 1%. with a little more fine tuning I was in the top 1500. Now usually when I tune for a track the car put down good times only for that track. With this car I tell ya, I posted a top 500 on Indy top 1000 on Infineon. Now, this may not be impressive to some but, with the time spend on the tune compared to my other tunes this car just seems to outperform most of them. I’m wondering if this car is just naturally built to be a C Class car or what? let me know what you think about the 99’ Civic.

'99 Civic is a leaderboard car in C class, isn’t it?

I think on Indy. lotus still dominates tho. I usually don’t consider a specific car model to be a leaderboard car in general. Its the tune of the car that sets it apart. when people talk of a leaderboard car I always thought they were talking about the top 100 or so cars on the leaderboard which usually are all tuned in some sort of way. like, a 99’ civic isn’t a leaderboard car until its built and and tuned perfectly for a track. I could be mistaken tho…

You’re somewhat correct. The car has to be built and tuned correctly in the right hands to put it at the top of the boards. However, there are cars that are simply better than others in a certain class, and while it’s not as good as the Elan on some tracks, the Civic is certainly one of them. I think it does Maple Valley and a few other tracks. I don’t run C class too much, so I don’t know very many good cars besides the ones on the leaderboards.
