[C 500] Honda Cars!

Alright, putting up some more tunes again. I’ve gotten exactly zero feedback on my last tune thread or two, but oh well.

I’ll be putting up tunes for almost all of the Honda cars that can be used in C-class. Some are uploaded already, some are still being worked on. Some of these may get you pretty high on the LB’s, some may not, but they’re all built for lobby racing before anything else.

1997 Civic Type-R - I have two tunes up for this already, the better (and so far more popular) tune is called “Civic LW 2.0” It’s a 1997 Civic, so it will be fast on most any track. Has set high LB times.

2009 Honda S2000 - I have three tunes up for this one, the best one to use is called “S2K LW 2.0” Good on most tracks, has set very high LB times on Spa and Silverstone.

2001 Acura Integra Type-R - I had an older one up already, but I’ve just uploaded a new one with more grip and no rear aero, it is called “no rear aero” Should be good on most tracks, is pretty grippy.

1994 Honda Prelude Si - New upload, it is called “grip” Drives a lot like the Integra, but is naturally not quite as fast. Still a good all 'rounder if you’re wanting to drive something different

1992 Honda NSX-R - Detuned for C-Class. Seems best used as a momentum racer, does quite well on tracks like Lime Rock, Watkins Glen, Road Atlanta Club, etc. Tune is called “detune

2014 Honda Civic Si - Pretty much max grip tune, works well on things like Lime Rock, Road Atlanta Club, Brands Hatch, etc. Name of the tune is “super grip

1991 Honda CR-X SiR - Happy with this one! No huge wheels, no ugly Forza rear wing, all in all a good all-around car, tune is called “crx hw 1.0

2004 Honda Civic Type-R - I ended up making two tunes for this car. The first is nice looking with nice wheels, no ugly wing, etc. that really just lacks on top end some, it’s called “jdm yo” The second tune is more of a “tryhard” set up with big wheels, supercharger, ugly wings, etc. that is called “ep3 hw 1.0” The former is probably a little more fun to drive, the latter probably a little faster.

2007 Honda Civic Type-R - Very similar in performance to the “tryhard” 2004 Type-R. I’m likely to keep working on this platform, it feels like it has a lot of potential, it’s a shame the centrifugal supercharger is not an option on this car. The tune I’ve uploaded for it is called “2007 hw 1.0

1986 Civic Si - Sad that Sp00n Sports first proper demo/race car, the EA Civic, is so miserable in this game. Anyways, I knew it was going to be bad, but built one anyways. I tried to get as much grip out of it as possible while not using the ridiculous looking rear wing. Top end is still bad, so probably want to keep it to the shorter tracks. Lap times are better than I expected. Just slap on the best Sp00n Sports livery you can find and go have fun. Tune is called “Sp00n EA-T
*** I had to use ‘zeroes’ instead of ‘o’ in the forums, for some reason it censors the word sp00n…

The CRX and “tryhard” 2004 Type-R feel particularly quick on the 'Ring. *2007 Type-R does, too.

I’ll be adding more as the day goes on, my intentions are to get tunes up for the 2014 Civic Si (done), 2007 Civic Type-R (done), 2004 Civic Type-R(done x2), and 1991 CR-X SiR (done). Probably won’t do the 1986 Civic Si (done, yup).

Any kind of feedback is welcome!

I’ll happily try a few over the weekend.

You have made it easy by supplying good descriptions of each car, so thanks for that.

Great, I look forward to hopefully hearing some feedback that will let me improve my building and tuning!

I’ve just uploaded two tunes for the 2004 Type-R, which means all I’ve got left to do is the 2007 Type-R, and maybe the 1986 Civic Si if I’m feeling brave.

Alright, they’re all up, including the 1986 Civic Si. I have an Acura RSX tune floating around that I may add as well, if anyone wants it.

If you do decide to try any of these tunes, please let me know what you think, good or bad!

This is just a question and by no means meant to be antagonistic.

I haven’t tried the NSX but what was reasoning on detuning it? Does it stand out in c class as a detuned B Class car?

I’ve only historically used NSX in B / A / S class is all. Just wondered what the thought process was. I am kind of intrigued, I did a GTR detuned for Indy oval (fm5) and I get detaining R to S for the grip, just trying to follow the process. Because you can make some outrageous fast or grippy cars from e/d class for c. It’ll be the first one I try I suppose.

I’ll run a couple if my Internet allows to download tunes.

Couldn’t beat any of my integra times in NSX. It was a good car just I think 3rd is too short rev bangs at 108 and 4th is too long so couldn’t really take advantage of the gear at road Atlanta club as you suggested. I see you had a 97 civic time there that was pretty fast.

I didn’t go to Watkins glen because I new my integra and civic times on whole beat it.

I struggled a bit with the rear on NSX - diff related for me trying to deal with 3rd and 4th gear. It was a nice car and I was doing top 200s I think about a second of my integra

Assuming your civic is pretty fast though judging by your LB times

I’m just kind of Honda out at this point.

Good tune overall!

Hey, thanks for all the feedback, and thanks for trying.

The reason for detuning the NSX was simply because I wanted to see if it could be done. I remember the detuned R-35 GTR being an LB car in FM5, but I wasn’t doing the NSX because I knew it was going to be fast, but rather just so I can be the only guy with an NSX in a C-class lobby.

I don’t pretend to be some epic tuning guru, and though I’ve managed to put some cars pretty high in the leaderboards, it’s never really my intention, as I like to race in lobbies. I particularly enjoy doing well in lobbies with cars that aren’t used much, since honestly, anyone can be fast in a 1997 Civic, Integra, 1965 Mustang, etc.

I’ve also been learning more and more about tuning since Forza 4, and when I do come across something that seems to work pretty well, I like to try and share it so that others may drive a car they like but haven’t been able to tune, and so that I can perhaps get feedback on what to do differently about my building and tuning.

This particular set of cars was meant to be all Honda since I know they’re very popular, but rest assured I’m not a Honda-only guy. I actually have a Lamborghini Jalpa tune up that has treated me very well, amongst others.
