As an Aussie I would like to know how to buy cars etc. I have exhausted all avenues I can think of . I can only find the American purchase option.

I can’t see an option for outside the U.S. buyers.

have a look at you xbox setting and see if you country is set to Australia sometimes you cant buy stuf when you xbox country/reagon is incorrectly set
