Browsing Liveries

Hey all, wasn’t sure if this should go in the paint forum but I figure I’ll try here first.

Is there a quicker way to browse liveries rather than just doing a generic search and scrolling through one by one? I just enjoy looking to see what designs are out there but I can’t even sort by popularity, # of downloads, etc. And sometimes I just want to preview a design but I have to download it, leave my spot of browsing, go look at it fully in forzavista, and then go back to where I was in the design area, none to mention going and deleting the design if I didn’t like it.

Am I missing something or is this just a feature that’s incredibly non-user friendly?

I’m pretty sure that’s just how it is. Been pretty dissapointed in the series this gen. Just picked this up because everything was half off. First car I go to tune and everything past the first 7-8 tunes doesn’t load. So glad that was fixed since 5. Loved FM4 and it’s been all downhill since.

Question, is there a way to look at the paints you’ve downloaded/made for a specific car, because I hate scrolling through EVERY SINGLE CAR paint I’ve ever made or downloaded, can you just sort by the car I’m currently in?

It seems scrolling is the only way. I made the mistake of clicking right bumper thinking it would show my paint jobs only to be greeted with a syncing screen that took forever.

Well assuming there isn’t a better way to do this, Forza Devs, please realize how terrible the current system is for using community created content. If you make it easier for people to use other people’s content it’s only going to help the community and make your game more popular in the long run.

There is no other way than just clicking through every single paint. In FM4 you could right click and see a screen at a time which worked perfectly. Don’t know why they changed it for FM5 and really don’t understand why they can’t see how bad of an idea it is. There’s probably tons of painters out there whose work goes unseen because you just get tired of clicking through single paints and just end up choosing something you sort of like.

No doubt there is. That’s why we need a feature to sort by top rated or most downloaded or something along those lines. Doesn’t seem too complicated so hopefully it could be changed. All the data is there, we just need to be able to filter/sort it better.

That’s pretty crappy, I recently made a number of liveries and it’s sad to think they won’t ever get seen because people get bored of looking.

It’s been like this since FM5 and even then it was loudly voiced that the search feature was terrible.

Fast forward to.FM6. Same story.

Horizon 3 will be a good clue as to what the changes may be with the storefront FINALLY coming back. Not sure why a functioning sort feature that worked so well in FM4 had taken this long to possibly come back. All in the name of.progress! (Sarcasm)

Yep it’s a bloody dreadful system. I’ve done a fair few paints and sure enough after a bunch of downloads early on it slows to a trickle as they disappear from the first few pages.

Also I hate the way that you can’t properly look at a paint before downloading it. Makes it hard sometimes when downloading a race livery to see if it’s been properly done. One final point, you also can’t see the description until you download a design. Again really annoying for race replica paints as you can’t detail what driver/ race / year the paint comes from.

Some of us painters go off of the trick of viewing the paint forum, seeing an artist or paint you like… then following the Gamertag so it shows up before randoms when you look for other liveries.

The best way to find awesome liveries is to simply search my Gamertag lol
