Bring back true Private Lobbies

One of FH3’s greatest online multiplayer features was true private lobbies, it was a beloved feature that was removed for seemingly no reason and is yet to be brought back, some players prefer privacy during their activities and that could be cruising racing their friends or doing other open world activities amongst their group and by having other players in the lobby they could become a nuisance in the pobby constantly following someone around and all round being annoying, another reason why it should come back is that it should’ve never had been removed it was a great feature and widely used in FH3 so its exclusion from both FH4 and FH5 left us dissappointed

Especially for people who need a stable connection without others glitching around or disappearing, this is super important. If you want to tandem drift, do some demolition derby, play cops and robbers, there is so many use cases where the normal Convoy mode isn’t sufficient enough anymore, in FH4 it still worked somewhat ok, but FH5 was pretty bad from the beginning and never really improved. Private lobbies would fix all these issues.

Private Online Lobbies / Invite-Only Open Racing
The multiplayer matchmaking systems in Horizon 4 and 5 were frankly quite frustrating to navigate with a group. We desperately need more versatile and accessible private online modes in Horizon 6.
It is hard to understand why players have to use complex workarounds just to continuously race with their own clan members or friends without random players joining. While we can currently set up a single race event and invite friends, what we truly need is an “Invite-Only / Private Open Racing” mode. We want to be able to play continuously with our friends in a closed session where the courses, car classes, and race types change randomly and automatically, exactly like public Open Racing.

Hello Forza Team and Community,

I am writing this on behalf of a large part of the community who deeply misses the ability to host Private Online Sessions (Invite-only or Friends-only) in the current Forza Horizon experience.

While Horizon Life is great for meeting new people, many of us feel that the freedom to “drive our way” has been limited. Private sessions are essential for:

  • Cruising in Peace: Enjoying the map and the sounds of our cars without the interference of random players.

  • Organized Events: Easier management for car meets, photography sessions, and community-run cruises.

  • Immersion: Playing only with friends or solo while still benefiting from the online features without the “chaos” of public lobbies.

  • Content Creation: Creators need a controlled environment to film cinematic shots without distractions.

We love this game and we want it to be our “home” for years to come. Bringing back this feature would mean the world to thousands of players who value the peaceful, social side of the Horizon festival.

Please consider adding Private Sessions back to the game!
