Bored of the same and ranting

Seems to be more like “don’t get rid of cars that we’ve already had and then try to trickle them in as though they’re new.” Doesn’t really seem to have anything to do with progression one way or the other. Especially given that the weekly chore list, being a limited time event, is antithetical to any sort of sense of progression and that having things available to acquire (presumably via some measure of progress) isn’t the same as just having everything unlocked.

Quadro40k I’m not saying I want everything unlocked from the start with no progression, I’m saying stop making us work for cars we’ve had before telling us there new and making them unobtainable if we miss out (because people have lives and jobs and sometimes have to leave the country for work and is impossible to do fomo forza away from home)

The game has become a chore and not fun and it has nothing to do with giving us a good gaming experience and more to do with “hey look how many are playing our game” and I guarantee they only have that on a Thursday.

If people were allowed to win 2 of them they could sell one in the auction house, problem solved. You would have to do the race twice, but some people would do it.

Ok, I see what you mean now. Though I don’t quite agree with it.

First of all, the fact those cars were in the previous games really has nothing to do with the new game. And not everyone had all the cars in the previous games either.

Then, about them being made unobtainable. This is not true. Both FH4 and FH5 have a track record of making even the rarest of the cars obtainable over and over. It’s happening now with a lot of early rare cars finding its way to Forzathon shop, bargains and prizes for later seasons. And we don’t even have the backstage dealer yet (which will be there definitely).

And about the chore - of course this is individual, everyone decides the time they want to invest into game. But exclusive cars are really easy to get in each season as they are always locked behind lowest points requirements. 20 points translates to under an hour of “chore” per week. By any means, this is not a huge grinding requirement, most games out there with weekly content require you to spend way more time to get “exclusive” stuff.

That’s all my opinion though, you don’t have to agree

I’d say that anytime a game requires you to play on its schedule rather than your own it’s a huge requirement.

I’ll toss in the fact that playlist exclusive cars weren’t always distributed frequently in FH4. The Maserati Levante is probably the most infamous example of that. It came out very early on in the game’s life, in Series 5, but only appeared a couple more times before disappearing for ages, before finally being added to the backstage pass in (actual) Autumn of 2020.

With that said, FH5 hasn’t even been out for a year, so it’s hard to gauge how frequently exclusive cars will be offered again. Overall though, I’d rather they just be made available in the Auto show. Heck, make it only available after a period of exclusivity, make them 20 million credits. Then people would still have to “work for them,” but they could at least get them without having to wait and hope they come back around again.

Editing to add; why is the backstage pass not in FH5 anyways? There’s no reason for it to not be I’d think.
Even better, make the backstage shop include every exclusive car, as they’re added. Then they could offer a backstage pass for seasonal rewards, allowing people to pick which exclusive car(s) they want.

@Quadro40k

Agree with all of this post except one part.

The only car I want is the 2021 Mercedes-AMG One FE which was apparently available for an hour (presumably whilst I was asleep) and has never appeared again.

I don’t get why it wasn’t a 24 hour period so everybody had a chance at it.

It was never available. Whoever tells you they have it while it was available for an hour have modded account or just pulls your leg.

Maybe, though I’ve seen many posts saying this.
Don’t get though why it’s the only promo car that I’ve got left to capture if it never was or will be available.
They don’t include the OPI Ford GT or the Ford Deluxe 5-Window FE as promo cars presumably because they were only given to people who bought stuff outside of the game, so why the Mercedes-AMG One 2021 FE ?

Don’t know really. Promo had issues from the start, maybe that’s one of them. Remember, all the story NPC cars didn’t count for promo until several months after release.

It’s probably a glitch that’ll remain until the car is released eventually.

Yeah I remember some issues with some story cars.
Hope it shows up soon - even in a race just to get the pic if nothing else… :crossed_fingers:

Hah, the M3 GTS is one of the worst car models Forza has ever had. It doesn’t have the original rollbar, it doesn’t have the Alcantara accents on the steering wheel and seats, and you need to add the generic rollcage to get the seatbelts.

It goes without saying that it was one of my biggest disappointments in FH4 and, considering this new one from FH5 is the exact same car, it sucks here too.

Surely you’re aware this game was released more than a year ago, right? Repeating cars available at the beginning of the game’s support is the least they can do.

In contrast, almost all of the much maligned Gran Turismo 7’s DLC cars have been made available more than once. Just today, the Maserati AG6CS Spyder became available in the Legends dealer once again. And this car was added to the game no less than a couple months ago.

…W-what? How…how does that clear QC?

Implying Microsoft has QC in the first place.

Forza only cares about number of cars. How they’re depicted in the game is something else.

Nope, I’m not aware that last November happened more than a year ago. Gotta have to check the calendar, i must have missed a couple of months of that year…

This has already happened in Horizon 5 too. The last generation Celica first appeared in the second or third series (locked behind online events no less), and hasn’t appeared since. Then there’s the Peel Trident. Unlike the Celica, it has appeared twice, but has been locked behind online events both times. As of now, these are the only cars in the game I have yet to procure, and I’m getting a little tired of Playground putting cars that can be purchased at anytime in the Forzathon shop instead of these two and other time-locked cars.

The Celica is the reward for the third midnight battle. You need to win 12 street races to unlock it.
