As some of you may already know. I’ve created my own lobby and the lack of control I have in it. It’s old news that people have been cutting corners ever since racing games came out yet not all racing franchises have, how do you say it dealt with the issue or blatantly ignored it. Here are some ideas that might work to solve the problem; For class specific races set a minimum time restraint. Cause every one that runs clean laps knows a clean lap is time limited. And I remember a rivals hot lap that if the lap wasn’t flawless it wouldn’t take. I believe it was with a scion unicorn car. I wish they could implement that into leaderboard laps and races.
You’re not going to see any changes in FM4, no matter how nice they would be to have. The game isn’t going to get any updates or revisions.
I’m not expect any changes, maybe this is the wrong thread. Turn 10 needs to work on the online aspect of the franchise regardless of the title. Changes that should have been made along time ago.
Dude, you do have some control over your lobby. If someone is cutting or otherwise not playing in a sportsmanlike manner, KICK them.
You have complete control over any lobby you host… What cars everyone drives, whether tuning or upgrades are allowed, under what circumstances the results are taken, etc. You can set a lobby to best lap scores if you’re really that concerned about clean laps.
I know about all those options. I’m talking about the options it doesn’t give you. Do you choose not to understand the point I’m trying to make. Go into create a lobby and tell me where to find these controls. The control to not allow drag slicks in a circuit lobby but allow for upgrades wheel weight what restrictors can be removed what range of horse power can be used for each individual race class DTM GT1 GT2. Sure I can limit the use of a car with or without upgrades and so on. Show me where all these controls are and I’ll admit I was wrong but until then there is no complete control over a user created lobby. Please Prove Me Wrong.
Koga, there is a game features wishlist thread over in the FM5 section of the forum. If you post the more detailed UCL restrictions that you would like to see, it will be seen by T10 and there is a chance they could be included in future FM games.
You know what’s a big option you’re overlooking if you don’t like what someone does? “Vote to kick”. If you want set rules and guidelines that results in penalties if broke, look for organized series racing leagues.
