I have been getting quite a few rare/super rare XP and Credit boost mods, and I want to make sure I am getting the most out of them. I am thinking that one of the endurance races, particularly “Indy 250” is a good one to do to make good use of them, but what are the best ways to get the most out of the “+% Credits/XP” mods to you?
I’ve got 3x100% boosts (1x credit, 1xp, 1x manufacturer xp) left which i’m going to use when i start on the Sebring 300 again.
I’ve used all my other Boosts up on other races.
The only other Mod’s i’ve kept are Perfectionist (+50% CR) which i use on all non enduro events and Long Shot (+50% CR) if i fancy a change.
I sold all my other Dare and Crew mods as i never use them.
It’s definitely the endurance races without question, which one is a matter of preference.
Me personally I would do the Cataluna (sp?) event. It’s a little more predictable, I had a lot of trouble with the Indy event with cars just slamming on the brakes in the middle of the corner going from 220mph to 120mph for no reason and there also is a lot more variety in the cars so you can use affinity boosts to max out that as well. So far I have maxed out affinity to BMW, Ferrari and Lamborghini in a single race each doing endurance with an infinity boost.
It’s also not as boring, Indy took me about 1 hour 10 minutes and it was really boring. Road Atlanta would be another good one. I used the simulated damage and no rewind dare for all the endurance races so far and that gives you 50% credits in a single slot and it’s how I always play anyway.
I find it best to use them in Free Play. There you can set up a race on any track you like, in any car and make it as long as you want.
Those % boosts give the most bang in longer races so the endurance races are an option but in those you are restricted as to what car you can use where as in free play you can create a long race and use the car you really want to use and still get the benefit from the mod(s)
3x100 XP or Drivers Level on Sebring=1.040.000 EP
3x60 XP or Drivers Level on Nurburgring= 520.000 EP
I save the big mods for the big long races like Sebring/Daytona
Xp mods are better for money.
Xp mods are better for xp
Xp mods are the way to go.
Do an endurance race have 3*100% Driver xp mods
Use your driver xp ones on car that are max affinity on.
Use you xp ones on cars that one not max affinity on.
Use + xp ones on small/short races
Use % xp ones longers ones.
If not sure check and see the boost in xp in the mods part and pick the one that gets you the most but don’t use 100%, only use 100% for endurance races or races that go for 1 hour+ long.
Be aware that after the latest update the ai doesnt use the pits at all anymore, so if you plan on doing any endurance racing you better turn sim damage/fuel off.
Edit: its the perfectionist dare mod that is causing this bug
I did the Road Atlanta endurance race last night and the AI cars pitted regularly.
Yeah, its the perfectionist dare mod that seems to cause this.
I have created a spreadsheet with some nice details and numbers about Endurance and Free play Rewards https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1a7z_BCtg7RWhc4-FB54e7AWUgG98cjgI9SNBIarR4vg/pubhtml?gid=0&single=true
Note:
my math may be a little off.
I used my own best laps time in an Indycar to calculate every time based stats. Real result may vary, especially for the endurance races.
I have highlighted useful stats in the spreadsheet.
In freeplay you can race against 1 drivatar and still win the difficulty bonus.
Freeplay rewards are capped at 300k base cr./exp.
Only 372k experiences is needed to reach Affinity level 25.
Daytona 300 gives the highest payout so it’s the best for the percentage based mods
I burned up two XP mods whilst doing the Sebring one in the wet, because I like the car and I can drive in the wet. Easy win and lots of driver levels, and I won a million credits on one of the spins! Incredible!
Now that I think about it, using the Lotus E23 for the Free Play races might be a good option for the technical tracks, and they will always beat “unbeatable” A.I since they always use Indycars which lose to the E23 when it comes to cornering.
