Why?
Just opinion, of course, but my reasons why include buggies and being able to set up longer races, also a bigger map and a longer day/night cycle. There are more reasons but my brain is a bit foggy this morning after being up past 5 AM it was so much fun! Great job Playground Games/Turn 10!
I never put out the judgement on the first day of play but it sure seems to be a strong candidate for one of the best racing games ever.
But best game ever? I don’t know, that means we come into the region of Half Life 2, Age of Empires 2 - Age of Kings, Uncharted 2 - Among Thieves and World of Warcraft which I think are so far my favorite games of all times.
Final judgement over a couple of weeks but I might have to add FH3 to those 4.

best racing game EVER
It’s given me good early impressions. It appears to run extremely slick on PC which always gives me hope. The CPU load on this game is ridiculously low most of the time as well, probably a legacy of it’s console roots.
Welp I finally got past Byron Bay just in time before work. finally finally finally can go exploring with time progession and weather finally activated. My only gripe is I wish the demo carried over to the actuall game. Pain in the [Mod Edit (Hoss) - profanity] to replay the intro for the 5th time early this morning when your tired and couldnt really sleep because your excited! cant wait to do a full loop around the map tomorrow morning when im fully rested. exploring is best when your fully rested.
A little quick on that judgement.
So far it’s mostly positive for me. I do like the blueprint thing but am unable to determine if we can sort/filter available blueprints. I also like the idea of blueprint but the customization options seem to be a bit limited. For example I couldn’t see where you could set a class or HP limit for example.
I’m sure there will be other things where functionally it could be better but I haven’t progressed enough.
However, the game so far has given me a very good vibe. Very enjoyable and I have no regrets on my purchase.
It should easily be one of the best racers on the xbox one ever. So there’s that.
