Final version of the Focus 09 tune is shared which has taken #1 at West Hill Cross Country with 1.15.912. I think I called it v3 no aero or something like that. It is similar to v2 with the main change being tyre pressure of 30.5/30.
I have thought about it but have decided not to open source the tune and I am going to be blunt about why.
When a tune is open sourced it is very important to try the whole build and tune as a complete package. You can tweak from there for personal preference but it is not going to help if you pick half of the tune and apply it on top of your own settings for the rest.
You will not get a good tune by picking and choosing.
So I am not giving anyone the opportunity of using bits and pieces and then saying its garbage.
Your V2 - Aero version is spot on good!!! so I can’t imagine - I chickened out trying the no aero version as you know the courses ( I don’t yet) and drive like a bat out of hell - so I went safe - with aero, but if they are anything a like - I can only imagine how good a V3 is. Nice tunes SatNite! But it was your tune (either 22b or this one) that got me the 100k skill point achievo…
Anything you can say to how well your cars handle jumps… That’s really what I find is terrific with them - I’ve been in other fast cars but yours are very stable and vary fast on inputs so even when I mess up a bit, I can just power through it. Well done! Other cars just seem to fly too much, rotate either axis too much, terrible landings- they are unsettled except for when they are on the ground.
For the jumps I think its the rally suspension, max ride height, soft springs and low total damping. For damping think about splitting 12 total points between rebound and bump. 3s for all is not a bad place to start for rally in my opinion and then tweak to get the balance you want.
