Auction House now open

Hi,

Im guessing this is a stupid question and im bracing myself for the comments but do i have to be a FM7 VIP to buy FM7 edition cars from the auction house?

Thanks

Only way to find out, try it ;).

I dont think you need VIP, since some can be won trough championships, level up rewards…and i am guessing loot crates. DLC cars however, you need the DLC obviously.

These Forza Edition models are part of the VIP DLC and only players who own that DLC will be able to bid on those auctions:
2014 BMW M4 Coupe Forza Edition
1969 Chevrolet Camaro Super Sport Coupe Forza Edition
1992 Ford Escort RS Cosworth Forza Edition
2012 Nissan GT-R Forza Edition
2013 Ram Ram Runner Forza Edition

What possible reason is there to take a portion of the credits earned from the AH? Not like they’re used to pay salary, rent, or insurance.

No but that’s pretty much how auction house’s work the world over.

Without the AH you can’t sell the car, so with it, you can but you lose a little bit of whatever it sells for. It should beat selling back to the dealer for half retail.

I really don’t see the issue with it - especially with the guy complaining it took a chunk of his what 9 million credits for a 140k car.

Try to buy Escort Forza Edition for a 140,000 CR and then we can talk about it.

Yes - Sorry I was wrong they’re only 105,000 in the buy car section

My mistake.

OH wow look at that is only 105,000 for a FE Ford Escort brand new from the auto dealer. Now you explain why I should pay more that that. It’s not like you can slap on 7,000,000 creds in parts on it is there, and it will take well over 8 hours of racing with max mods to pay for it. And unless I am goint to get a paint job that is out of this world and a guarnatee that no one alse will ever have the same or slightly modifed paint job I would be nuts to pay that much.

I’ve noticed that not all cars auctionable. For example, I can’t auction my Maserati Gran Turismo S Forza Edition. I have 2. I have noticed other Forza Edition cars for auction so that can’t be the reason. Anybody able to shed some light on this?

Much appreciated.

How come i can auction off specialty dealers but can’t searcg for them? Same with forzathon prizes.

Envy, you can’t currently sell cars you didn’t pay anything towards, i.e. gift cars & level up cars which are completely free. If you contributed to the purchase, then you can sell it. I’ve seen mention in one of the WIR’s I believe, that they were looking in to this but that was a while ago - so no guarantee it will change in future.

Hawkeye - try clicking on the search section of the AH - then press X for advanced. Scroll down the list of options & you should see speciality dealer - set to Yes and search. You could narrow the search more if it’s a particular car you’re looking for but that should show you the speciality dealer cars. You can just search the brand of car you’re looking for & narrow that with a year or other search choice to see the cars you’re looking for.

Thanks alot that’s a big help.

I saw that too but i dont see a difference. Unless some car people bought were unable to be sold.

After the update the ah is a mad house with people dumping off unwanted gift cars :joy::joy:

Hi all. Do somebody know what the limits are in AH for selling and buying? Just wondering why I can sometimes put more cars in AH and othertimes less. Hope you can help.

Ditto to the same question. ???

[Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted - D]!!! Just decided to buy an S14A to put one of my TRA Racing paints on. So searched found a few and decided to buy out solely because said car had the Rocket Bunny Boss kit fitted. Pleased with my purchase off I popped to the upgrade shop as I needed to swap out the Border wing and put on some better suited rims. Per the norm clicked OK when advised the current ‘tune’ would be removed. Then to my surprise it wanted me to pay to re fit the aero kit. A-UP! I thought thats not right. So I tried to fit the rims I bought (BOUGHT!) the car with and yet again I didnt own the part. Bewildered I headed over here to see what the crack was to find that we now no longer buy the car we see in the A.H. Now I have a gripe here n there about things which I think should or shouldn’t be in FORZA but for the best I just get on with it as it is what it is. However this, this…WOW. Its ludicrous!!! whoever came up with this gem needs his or her P45. WHAT…A…JOKE!!! Im almost at a loss for words. So now we cant change things on a car we purchase even if its the most undrivable piece of junk in our garage without quite substantial ramifications? Im just astounded, its now made my purchase totally nonsensical, I paid what I did after taking into account the modifications it had as one would buying a car at auction for real. To then lose all mods because I want a different look or it doesn’t handle to my driving style is madness! So its now a waste of time buying modded cars in the A.H. at least it is for me now anyway. I’ll now have to ‘give’ my Cr. to the game instead of to a fellow player, great for the in-game economy I imagine

I am writing to find out if something I have been experiencing is intentional or unintentional. I recently have saved my in-game currency (credits) and purchased the 2015 McLaren P1 GTR (1,500,000 credits) and placed my own design (my creation with no one else’s logos on it) and sold it in the Auction House. I have sold 4, each selling for at least 1,651,000 credits. However, when I go to collect my credits I am always missing credits from the sale. Prior to this last sale I had 477,678 credits, then sold the mentioned 2015 McLaren P1 GTR for 1,651,000 credits in the Auction House and when I collected my credits from the sale my balance was 1,941,653. A net loss of 187,025 credits. This has happened on every single sale of my 2015 McLaren P1 GTR’s (4 in total). Each with a different amount missing. This last one was the smallest amount of credits taken. Before this one I had 597,000+ credits sold a 2015 McLaren P1 GTR for 1,651,000 credits in the Auction House and lost 270,000 credits in the sale when I should have made that amount. To work out the last sale I just spoke of I will show the math. 597,000 credits + 1,651,000 (sale) should have = 2,248,000 credits - 1,500,000 purchase of another 2015 McLaren P1 GTR = 748,000 credits, instead I had 477,678 credits. This is very disappointing and frustrating. My Gamer Tag is clk430racer on Xbox One.
