Anyone else unsatisfied with FH2 F&F?

Hi am new to this debate but I have to say this. I cannot understand why people are complaining about a free game. What I can’t believe no one has picked up on is how this game does not represent Forza Horizon 2. Apart from the restricted map, restricted cars, no tuning options or car settings, on the pause menu is the option to buy Forza Horizon 2. While this standalone game is fun and free it is not an add on and should not be treated as such.

For me, my gripes are more with the tech/design side of it.
Firstly, I feel as if the frame rate is below 25fps, I know it doesn’t sound much, but I can really see a dip in fps.
I also run manual w/ clutch and switch clutch to the ‘A’ button. But this then switches NOS to ‘RB’ and I can’t press ‘RB’ and ‘RT’ with one finger however hard I try (How many fingers do you think I have, Turn 10?).
Lastly - and this is what really grinds my gears - is the REV LAG/ENGINE HANG bug, or lack there of. If you fixed this issue for F&F, why won’t you fix it for FH2? It makes no sense! I can enjoy freeroam without any Rev lag in F&F in cars I really don’t like to drive, or can’t enjoy freeroam because of Rev Lag in FH2 in cars I like to drive.

Thanks

Well, I didn’t expect much if any interaction with the main game - hence it being standalone. But it really was just FH2 races with FnF cars, which thanks to the design editor we can pretty much do in the main game already anyway :stuck_out_tongue:

Can anyone show me where it was ever mentioned that the cars would be transferable to FH2? I would have thought “standalone” would be the giveaway. Otherwise people like me that don’t own FH2 wouldn’t have been able to play it. For me it was a bit of fun, I wouldn’t pay $10 for it, but for a free game it was pretty well done.
It seems some people still haven’t worked out this was a promotion for F&F 7, paid for by Universal.

Yes and no. “Standalone” simply means you don’t need the main game to play it, it doesn’t mean it has to be incompatible.

Like I said, I’m not “angry” about this, merely disappointed. I’m not swearing off Forza products or anything, I was just looking forward to this and it didn’t live up to my expectations.

A game for free with EASY 1,000 GS that they never had to make. Yet people still complain and feel they lacked something while playing or after completing it.

It’s no wonder why more developers don’t take the time to make little bonus things like this.

yeah i would rather work for my 1,000 GS not handed to like this game. i got every achievement but maybe one without even trying. You must be on government aid and like getting things handed to you. i want to work hard to my gamerscore. i got more in 4 hours of F&F then i have on horizon 2 and put a ton more hours into it smh

That has to be the most uneducated narrow-minded reply I have ever seen.

Let’s set this by saying that I don’t know many good movie-based-off games, and that Playground Games couldn’t do what they could’ve done great; like if Universal Studios twisted their arms every time Playground was doing something original.

This being said, I appreciate driving those cars and am not going to complain about cars not being tunable: they’re finely tuned.

Must I mention that companies should never need to put “you are not forced to buy this game, if you don’t like, delete it”, this would be crazy, wouldn’t it be?

Be greatful for an extra 2 000G, they are rare the games that boost your Gamerscore this quickly (easily also).

i finally got around to playing it for half an hour today and I only got one race done. had to re do it three times. the first time the game crashed, the 2nd time I fell through the map, the third time I finally finished the race.

once I got around to exploring the map it was quite interesting, just a note though I have not played horizon two yet, I am still waiting for the price to come down a bit more. I know its on sale right now for 47 bucks, but anymore that just money I don’t have to burn, maybe if it comes down to 30-35 range

I don’t care what anyone says, for FH2 owners this game was a waste of time. I don’t care if it was free, if I’m investing time to get every single car then I should at least be able to transfer the cars to fh2. Why someone would eventually pay for this is beyond me

At least it’s not the bug-filled Fast and Furious Showdown game.

^^THIS!^^

I see plenty of complaints from people not satisfied with this little game with ‘Forza Horizon’ in the title, but shockingly few who stop and realize that this is easily the best game with ‘Fast & Furious’ in the title ever made…

Yeah, it looked like it came from an under-developped country never made a game or doesn’t have TV, which doesn’t barely knows Fast & Furious. It was some crap, all of it was crap.

After completing it, I think I got what I expected since I wasn’t expecting this to be a full expansion like Storm Island was, just a Universal ad. It wasn’t the most satisfying thing in the world, I don’t understand why they will charge for this in the future since it feels just like a glorified demo, and I can’t see myself playing it just to enjoy the cars. But even after all that I played something kind of different instead of playing the normal Horizon 2, because the time I used to play this game would be used on the main game without this, I enjoyed driving the customized cars around (kind of), and it was easy enough to complete and get 500 reward points. but what we can’t forget is that this is just a movie promotion with a really bad description and nothing more. And as a movie promotion is impressive because: it is not a disgusting thing to drive the cars since is based on Forza, it has some voice work, and they made custom cars for it. Usually it is just a Facebook game, if they even have something that resembles a game But yes, as a game, it is really short, and it doesn’t have replay value, because getting 100% is not really hard at all. So as an advertisement it is really cool, as an expansion it is really bad, as a free thing that you waste a day playing and it’s done it works, kind of.

I just wish we had Ludacris instead of Ben in the real game.

This. Ben gets annoying quick, Luda would be much better.

It was a repackaged demo that I thoroughly enjoyed. It would be cool to see the challenges and cars become a free package down the road for those who own FH2, but until then I think it was great.
-Delivered as promised
-Free
-FF7 Promotion
-Free
-Cars were realisticly tuned, face it a lot of us could not drive, let alone race, a real 900HP Charger
-Free
-Would have been cooler if I could use Nitrous in Freeroam but hey, NITRO!!!
-Free

I had fun for some hours,it is free and (maybe) i’ll get a nice Supra for H2,so thumbs up!
Anyways a good promotion to get some “non-forza’s” into the game…

Would rather pay $15 for a real expansion with new terrain, weather and cars
