hey all ive recently picked up forza 6 and was wandering if theres any major tuning changes since forza 5?
do we still have to run high camber?
do we still have to run high rebound and low bump?
is the front to rear brake balance still backwards?
do we still have to run low arb?
thanks
This is what I have found for my driving style…
- No “Major” changes
- Sometimes, yet mainly, less camber
- Yes, however, slightly less rebound than FM5
- No, the brake biased was fixed.
- ARBs have always depended on the combo with springs, so, no set rule for these…not even on FM5.
.
- Not always, it depends on your Spring stiffness. I can get away with occasionally running a higher bump than rebound. I don’t know why but some cars like the F50 and Z4 GT car just feel better that way.
Rest of it though I agree with
A lot less camber than Forza 5 definitely depending on what tire compound the build has.
If you are running stock or street compound i go between -1.0 and -2.0.
Sport compound anywhere from -1.5 to -3.0 depending on car.
Race compound anywhere from -2.0 to -4.0 depending on car.
Also tire pressures I have found if you are using stock or street compound the sweet spot is between 27.5psi to 28.5psi.
Sport compound 28.0psi to 29.0psi and race compound 28.5psi to 30.0psi.
Also brake pressures and brake balance are a lot more pronounced when you make changes. I used to leave the brake pressures usually at default as i didnt notice much difference n Forza 5 but in Forza 6 a small change can gain huge results.
How are you judging when you have the right amount of camber; is it a case of looking up laptimes or tyre temps?
I don’t use telemetry for anything. Always lap times.
I use laptimes and feel of the car more than the telemetry when it comes to camber. if you want to use telemetry the best way is to check the camber in the middle of the corner you want it to be as close to 0.0 as possible without going into the negatives if that makes sense.
i believe you meant you dont want the camber to go positive in corners
