Hi guys! So I’m painting this Aston Martin and I’m trying to paint the front lip of the car yellow, but I am unable to place a decal without it going onto the top hood of the car, does anyone have any solutions? Thanks!
As far as I know there is no workaround for this other than attempting to cover up as much as possible with another vinyl that’s the same color as the base coat (or the layer under it).
Having looked at it, you can at least do the outer edges of the lip, it’s just the centre section under the grille that bleeds onto the hood once you go back too far. Obviously, the outer lips on the sides will need to be covered by strips angled to avoid encroaching on the hood, and you have to avoid anything covering the outer tips from bleeding onto the front fenders. The centre section needs to be curved slightly to look neat.
Alternatively, incorporate the bleed into the design so it looks like you meant to have a yellow tip to the hood
Okay I’ll try these things, thanks you guys!
