[ANSWERED] World invisibility, randomly stopping cars, horrendous CPU usage.

Specs:
Processor: Intel Core i5-6600K CPU @ 3.50GHz

Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB

RAM: 8.0 GB

When I launched the demo, I at first played with the demo’s auto-detected settings for my hardware (Mostly High), then when I played the game kept constantly crashing when trying to load the first race, After a little bit of fiddling with the advanced settings I finally got it to run, and it looked great… for a few seconds, after which the entire floor became untextured and entirely invisible while I drove over it, and after a certain point I would see the over cars in the race all frozen still ahead, once i reached this point my car would also freeze and then either just let me go or completely crash the game, I couldn’t even get past the autumn race. I retried this on both Medium and Low settings, as well as Low with anything that could be turned off turned off and I still received the same results. On top of this, on the final few trials, the game began to pause and bring up a message box saying something along the lines of “Low CPU streaming bandwidth” and that I needed to free up CPU resources, despite the fact that FH4 was one of the only programs running on my PC at the time and it was already 100% my CPU when I looked in task manager.
Below is a Screenshot I managed to take before the game crashed:

I didn’t know anyone still only used 8GB RAM. You’ve got patience!

Most people use 8gb of ram and no game should need more than that, especially forza which runs on an 8gb xbox one and has a minimum requirement of 8gb

Guess most people you know then must have very expensive high end PCs and nobody of your friends has a mid size gaming rig. Anyway, to clarify:

  1. Filling system RAM at a game is NOT related to CPU usage, that is apart.

  2. The game asks for 8GB of RAM minimun, I’ve tried the demo and ran flawlessly with 8GB of RAM, I got the full game because of this.

  3. I have an i5 4590, which is, in theory, way behind OP’s i5 and never got to a 100%, not even once.

I have the same problem, although mine’s an Intel Core i5 3470 with 16GB RAM, an EVGA GeForce 1080 and a Samsung Evo 840 SSD.

I have a 6600k and my CPU usage is around 40-70%, its overclocked to 4.5ghz though.

Try to cap the fps to 60 by turning on VSYNC. It fixed the invisible terrain for me, though its still loading textures, but not invisible. Still so annoying though.

Is your game on SSD or HDD?

Anything running on the background taking your RAM or CPU cycles?

I ran the demo with an i5 4590 and a GTX 1060 3GB without any issues or stutters, also update the GPU driver to the latest one, it has support for FH 4.

The original FH4 demo was horrible to play. The update on 9/21 fix alot of the annoying glitches and ground rendering issues for me. But I still get them. If I run through the intro with 1920x1080, 30 fps, vsync, Ultra dynamic rendering then I run into an invisible wall and the terrain does not appear then I get the message Low Streaming Bandwidth. CPU hovers around 50-60% with Task Manager. So I knock down the dynamic rendering to High and it’s pretty smooth. TL;DR new demo patch helped a lot, but need to drop the graphics settings.

I’m running:
i5-4670 3.5Ghz
16GB RAM
SSD boot and game drives
Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB

Can you guys run the benchmark in game and send it on over to forzafb@microsoft.com with your dxdiag so we can take a look?

Thanks

Hello I am having the same issues mentioned above. How do i find send you my benchmark settings? Should i do a screenshot save and email you that? Thanks.

I tried. No answer yet. I used PrintScreen button then saved via Paint, then sent it to the e-mail address. No answer yet, however.

Okay thanks I will do the same as you did.

Can we get an update please? I emailed forzafb@microsoft.com days ago and no response yet. No one has responded to my post either.
