Is there any fix for xbox one x to prevent the game from crashing to dashboard at random intervals ?
Hi guys. Yesterday i found 100% fix of random crashes.
Launch game. While its in windowed mode try to kill explorer.exe by task manager - PROFIT.
Then you can play only in windowed mode but totally without crashes!

Why not kill explorer.exe in a Fullscreen though? Just press CTRL-SHIFT-ESC to open a Task Manager, then switch to it with ALT-TAB, find an explorer.exe and end the process. Switch back.
dunno, do not working for me.
Just create *.bat file with:
TIMEOUT /T 60 /NOBREAK
Taskkill /f /im explorer.exe
and lauch it before start game.

Finally, after doing all advises here this one works and I already play 2H without crashing (record).
Totally worked for me! I was finally able to play the game for like 7 hours without a crash!
Here is a .bat file for killing explorer WHILE running the game in fullscreen:
@echo off
TIMEOUT /T 70 /NOBREAK
taskkill /f /im explorer.exe
(save this as a txt document and rename it in fh4.bat (for example)).
After starting the game wait until it goes fullscreen, after this alt-tab from the game and run this .bat file. Then go to the game again.
It will kill the exlorer in 70 seconds.
(You can’t kill the explorer and alt-tab to the game after this, or force the game to run in fullscreen after killing the explorer, that’s why this .bat is necessary).
After quitting the game press ctrl-alt-del and select “Quit” and log into your windows account again.

Thanks dude, this worked for me. I played for 2 hours yesterday and 3 hours now without crashes. But when i exit the game the pc freezes(gray screen i cant open task manager or do anything) or restarts itself. Any idea how to fix this?
press ctrl+alt+again then make new process then type explorer
Press ctrl-alt-del, select “Quit”, and after this log into your windows account again.
That helped thanks. But instead of “Quit” i select “Sign out” and that’s it. I can finally play the game without crashes 
You also can open Task Manager, press ALT+F (to open menu File), press Enter to select run, type explorer and hit enter or just hit enter if you have “explorer” in earlier history. So you don’t have to logout-login.
I tried it, you can’t do so. You can call the task manager, but you can’t switch to it without explorer. You will only see a gray screen.
It doesn’t matter what you see, that’s because no explorer.exe can work for you to display windows. But in reality if you alt-tab to task manager you can use it. But if you wish you ofcourse can login and logout and wait for all usual stuff loads again, I don’t like that way.
I tried alt-tabbing to the task manager, you won’t get anything other than gray screen using this. The task manager will not be displayed.
Anyway, it’s not that difficult to log out and log in again.
Again, you don’t have to see it to use it.

I had crashes since day 1 (ultimate edition buyer), and tried EVERYTHING said above. Went back to FH3 coz I was too desperate.
I wanted to play another game, and had to install a program called win updates disabler, so that the game would work.
I went back to FH4, and I could play it for hours (before, crashes were about every 15 minutes). What drew my attention is that I had an error message in the main menu (see the image) saying in english " updates error, impossible to check updates, try later". In the main game, i am not able to chose to play online or offline, I go straight offline with grey forza life (so not able to play online races or forzathon, just offline stuff).
Not saying this a 100% fix, as people claim to say in previous posts, but maybe it will work for you too.
