I have been thinking my network has been the problem with my lack of sound on multiplayer but it is definitely not it. I have noticed and retested multiple times that my daughter’s gamertag can hear and talk without issue on multiplayer, but my gamertag rarely works. I have looked at settings on the xbox menu and inside Forza, but they all appear to be the same. Does anyone else know what could possibly be my issue. Same controller and headset is used too.
Log in manually with your account and try…sometimes Kinect sign in can mess with your system.
I have the Kinect disabled because it kept asking her to reconnect her controller in the middle of a game when I would walk in the room.
I figured out my issue finally. It appears I have never had mine working and I only heard others using my daughters gamertag. I was fixing some things on my Xbox 360 for my daughters to play Disney Infinity and I noticed my privacy settings on the 360 had voice blocked. I changed that setting and went back to my X1 and what do you know I could hear everyone’s open mic! Maybe there was good reason to have it blocked… hahaha. Anyway, I hope this helps anyone else who might be stuck in this situation and I am sure those privacy settings can be changed on the X1 but I just happened to be on the 360 fixing those other things.
