Hi All! I have what I think will probably be a dumb question. …Am I supposed to start at a car meet each time I load up the game after being away from it? It seems like I would just be placed in the game generally when starting it back up, not in an event like the(a) car meet. Is the (a) car meet the starting spot when you have technically left the game and turned the console off?
Yes. I always appear at a car meet when I load up the game.

Now that the forum has taught me how to properly quit the game… yeah I am always at a car meet.
I am not quite sure how I feel about that at the moment lol

I like it, but I would like it better if there was a dedicated safe house/ garage.

It would be great to start the game in the same place you leave it , I’m sure horizon 1 did this or tdu2

It already does. I always start in the same place because I put my Xbox One into sleep mode, not completely turned off.

Although this is meant to be a great feature of this next gen console it is known to cause various issues.
Use with this in mind.
My recommendation is always use this console the same as the last ie turn it fully off overnight and do not start playing games mid install.
Yes the console is meant to allow the other features but they are to varying degrees broken.

My Xbox has been in sleep mode since launch. I watch my tv through it and play my games. Never had any issues. All you need to do every once and awhile is do a hard reset and it closes all programs and clears all cache.

If you didn’t completely shut down, the game should restart where you left off, I usually log onto forza5 first too collect daily drivitar payout’s…and receive a day played at the same time, so I usually start at the car meet…not sure why that bothers people. and every 2 days or so I do a hard reboot.
i just shut the consol down properly, i didnt feel it was a problem to drive or fast travel to nearest hub or event
You start at the car meet closest to the place you quit at. In turn these are the ‘Safehouses’ that somebody said earlier.

I do not understand the point to always start at a car meet, would not it be better if we got to choose where we want to quit and restart? We were supposed to have the opportunity to choose our own home in the game if we were allowed to choose freely, I do not like being forced to do things in games.
This has nothing to do with T10 or PG, it is Big Brother looking over all of our shoulders. Do not resist or things could start happening through your interweb!

Even if not an official home in game, I could just choose a remote spot on the map to call my ‘home’ and start there. In TDU part of the immersion was starting off in your garage, and figuring out where you were going to go from your own spot. But not close to a gamebreaker or anything.
I start at a car meet with the same three cars & players every time.
I’ve visited all six car meets, yet the game has only registered that I’ve visited three. I cannot find out which ones it hasn’t registered. Any thoughts?
Just wondering why every time I boot the game, it goes to a car meet by default?
