Almost all cars oversteering?

Hmm, could it be that the wrong tire compound was assigned to some cars as default? Some cars, like the TF Audi RS7 just skate around, and won’t brake or corner properly. Yet other cars, even some exceeding it’s bulk handle like a dream.

Its definitely a throttle sensitivity thing, at least for me.

Not so much oversteer, but I’ve felt a lot of YAW in all cars I’ve driven thus far… Just an unnatural rotation as if it’s being driven off one wheel in the dead center of the car

i really hope turn 10 will fix that, because some cars are near impossible to drive because of the oversteer, they are so tail happy that its not even fun to race…i always end up using the cars with the highest grip so i can have a little fun and be able to finish my races
I am a sim racer fan, i race with assetto corsa, raceroom, project cars and a few others, and forza always been a great game for me even though its not a full sim, its still very fun, but forza 6 needs to be fixed otherwise i will sell it…im not having fun like i should with forza 6, and thats only because of the exagerated oversteer, its very frustrating to fight like that with almost every cars, instead of having fun racing like it was with all the other forza games
Am i the only one with this problem? And who wish that turn 10 release a patch that fixes that?

Having the same experience. The oversteer feels exaggerated, it’s like they made the handling extra difficult in an artificial way. When I spin out in games like Assetto Corsa, rFactor2, Project Cars or RaceRoom, I know right away what I did wrong. In FM6, I’m spinning out in corners doing 30 mph with very little throttle (dry weather), this should happen never. There’s definitely a problem with the physics that needs to be fixed, and I hope they do, I really wanted to like this game. Could also benefit from some force feedback enhancement, I’m using a TX wheel and there’s no detail in the feedback.

As much as I love Forza Motorsport games there biggest problem is lack of grip, yes 6 is better than 5 but grip physics are still imho a mile off, cars oversteer = lack of grip, cars lock up = lack of grip, cars slide way to much = lack of grip.

All I know is that in FM3,FM4,FM5 I use the controller and no aids (only “normal” steering instead of simulation).
I’ve always been a good driver and now…I suck, pretty bad, even with the same good setups by the good tuners. MOST of the cars are too difficult to handle in FM6 with the controller and no aids.

I think it’s not just lift off oversteer although this is surely way too exaggerated. But try driving in Prague in something like the Alfa 4c. There is this normally fast turn with the high banking going uphill through trees up from the river on the full course. If you lift the throttle way before (try the bump in the road before) and roll into the corner it is almost impossible not to loose the rear when turning in at a proper speed (try racing line or drivatars for reference). Even slower it won’t work. And this turn has a big outside banking improving grip…

With most of the untuned cars I’ve driven so far (controller), I find that I’m getting a lot of “push” and transitional understeer, and occasionally some on-throttle oversteer. Tuning helps of course but cars certainly feel harder to drive stock than in previous games.

Lol, didn’t know sim steering wasn’t for gamepads. Have been playing FM6 for close to 40 hours now, all with sim steering, don’t have any issues, this is the easiest handling Forza of them all. Cars are very planted and go where I point them to.

The grip in this game is broken, ive driven a lot of the rd cars in the game and they do not skid in a straight line at slow speeds going into corners, pretty much every corner where you need to brake alot the cars just slide forwards till your either at around 10mph or you hit something.

I have also noticed that the grass on this game drags you towards the walls, now having driven many times on grass this does not happen, grass feels like ice even in burning hot tracks.

there is no way to save a slide or drift its a case of waiting for it to end.

they need to do something about base grip levels as right now they are terrible.

I went to build my first B Class car, went with an MX-5, and put max width race tyres on it. It is basically undriveable. It has off-throttle oversteer, on-throttle oversteer and every tiny bump in the track throws it sideways. Normally I like racing oversteery cars, they suit how I drive, but they are just unusable in FM6. Not every car I’ve used is this broken, but most are. I have no idea what T10 did with the handling physics for FM6 but they messed up massively

Did some races with the Ferrari F50 and it has NONE of the issues. The car handles predictable without strange oversteering and the like. So in my view its definitely an issue related to the driving model of certain cars and not all. Or maybe its something related to the weight of the car. Without intense testing it seems the backend of lighter cars has very strange physics.

edit OK - more racing done and I have to correct myself. The F50 has the same issues to a much, much lesser extend. It is still pedictable and very fun to drive. Great Car!

It’s funny you bring up the F50 because I noticed exactly what report when I drove it for a while last night. You are right the oversteer still exist but to a lesser degree but what I found very odd is I had difficulty causing oversteer with the accelerator. I could do it but I really had to push it and went it finally went there was no recovering it.

To all complaining about understeer oversteer issues…LEARN HOW TO SETUP AND TUNE YOUR CARS!!! The physics in F6 is probably the most realistic out of any version released thus far IMO.

Absolutely need need for caps, that’s your opinion cool we get it.

Hard to set up cars when theres no upgrades on them, this problem has nothing to do with setting up your car because any default car doesn’t have tremendous over steer

At the risk of sounding condescending may I interject… Learn how to drive your cars…?

Wonder if the Call of Duty forums have a thread for people complaining about their character dying when they get shot…

Condescending post.

Many cars in Forza 6 lose traction for no apparent reason, smart comments like yours do nothing to help.

I’ve completed many tracks days in my time in a multitude of vehicles, even the 458 ( race specification) will not slide unless really pushed or lock it’s wheels at ever opportunity unlike the game car.

I wonder how many people commenting have actually done track days let alone driven a race specification car.

Cars in real life on track with race tyres Do not lose traction like they do in game, yes after in-game practice you will learn to control it even get good at it but that doesn’t make it right.

In real life you cannot wind on full lock and take it off again in less than a second (and if you could good luck with that hope you are wearing a helmet), in real life you can feel the G building and the tyres starting to slide, in real life cornering at 40mph can actually be damn scary.

Even if forza replicated it all perfectly which it may or may not it would feel wrong. You can’t feel the weight transfers only see/hear their effects, you are behind where you would be in a real car, in a real car you feel the forces building and react in a game you see the end result of the forces reaching critical levels and then react to it.

The simulator could be perfect but your means of interacting with it is imperfect even with a wheel you can’t balance a car finely like you would a real car where your part of the experience rather than watching the consequences of your control inputs unfold from a safe place.
