I had to pit on lap 20 of 40 for fuel. And Rossi took the lead and ended up with about a 30 second lead. He didn’t pit before me for fuel because he was right under by rear bumper for the laps before I pitted and he didn’t pit after I pit.
Then I started to take notice, not one of the 23 other cars in the race pitted during the race. Every lap I checked the pit lane as I went passed it and it was empty! This goes for both the R and S class cars in the race. Surely the law of averages should be at least one car is in the pits at some point.
I managed to eventually claw the lead back and overtook Rossi on the last lap and win.
I went back and did some of the other endurance races and the same thing is happening, no- one else is pitting anymore.
This basically started for me after the update we got with the recent DLC.
Is this happening for anyone else or is my game screwed up ?
Ok I did what you said and it didn’t have any effect, they are still not pitting for me. So I re-did the race with no mods, simulation damage equipped and no rewinds and the AI still didn’t pit.
I know a pit stop is only a few seconds but before the last update you could drive by the pits and see a car in there at various points either re-fueling or getting damaged repaired etc, nothing now.
This absolutley started after the October DLC update patch.
A pit stop is normally only a few seconds so using a fly-by observation of the pit lane every lap isn’t exactly the best method to use. In the pause menu there’s a roster of all of the racers which I would assume show you how many pit stops have been made by the respective driver. I can’t say for certain because I haven’t done any endurance races yet. The law of averages also doesn’t necessarily apply here either. If the tires last an average of 20 laps then the pit lane would have cars in it between laps 18-23, 38-43, and 58-63; leaving around a 15 lap period of where the pit lane is quiet.
Same thing just happened to me, from checking positions throughout the race, there is absolutely no way M. Rossi could have pitted. I tried to confirm it by watching the replay from his point of view but only about the first 15 laps were recorded
Do you use the perfectionist dare mod? If you do remove it at the start of the race and be sure the setting is on sim damage. After you’ve done this you can add this mod again.
Turn 10 changed something about the AI and pitting in endurance races so it seems they messed it up. Best to report it in the support forum and hope they fix it for next patch.
I think so. Because before if you set the damage to cosmetic you don’t have to pit during endurance a races but the AI still did so you got quite a big advantage. Turn10 may have tried to fix this and messed it up slightly.
