It’s a real shame that we had this feature in Forza Motorsport 6 and now it’s gone. The same is for rolling starts working in SP mode, working in MP of FM6 but not now. And to go on: I can freely upgrade and tune my car in free play but not in MP mode - awful!

If you are waiting for this it’s probably best to sell it if you have the physical. Not gonna happen in 7. It woulda been in by now and they said nothing about having plans of putting it there.

I’ve given up on waiting for this since Forza 6. Same with decent freeplay options. Your best bet is Assetto Corsa or Project Cars 2. I’ve been playing Project Cars 2 with the Custom Grid mod and it’s excellent. You just have to live with fewer cars.

Oh my god, Today i forced my cousin to buy FM7 we get in a privet lobby set a 70 lap race and realize that we cant have AI. I was already not playing FM7 because of drivers cup not having qualifying and now i see that i can’t have fun offline or online. FM7 is totally unplayable for me. Im selling the game tomorrow and will never buy a turn 10 game again in the future. You can Ban me if you want to, matter fact i will delete my profile from this website. Just utterly disappointed with how turn 10 limits the game every time instead of letting the players play the game how ever they like. Goodbye T10

All of my friends uninstalled FM7 because of the lack of AI in private match and I have no way of checking if they’ve finally been added or not

It is not possible to set up a private Multiplayer race with Drivatars in Forza Motorsport 7, not right now anyway.
There’s an update coming in July (along with a Car Pack); maybe we’ll see something then, who knows.

Hopefully they add it! Since FM8 is not happening next year, maybe they can improve FM7. 
Oh dear, the developers are “forcing” people to play against multiple players in multiplayer, the horror! No easy single player Multiplayer achievements then!
Why come to this post with stupid comments?
It’s a feature that was taken out that people want back in. I would rather race AI then people with your kind of attitude any day.

I wouldn’t call it stupid, just a sarcastic way of saying that the developers did it deliberately to get people into multiplayer.
I love achievements but hate multiplayer, I’d be the first to use AI in private lobbies to get all the MP achievements, and bypass real MP altogether.
Edit: It’s all hot air anyway, the OP said they’d sell the game tomorrow but has since put in 135 hrs into the game and reached driver level 166 that was one almighty day.

They can disable achievements for all I care. Take them out of the game.
I just want to be able to race with friends and some AI, so that race track isnt completly empty, with custom rules and all drivers on track behave like drivers and not like people usually behave in MP.

Driving with AI and a group of 4 friends is something I have been able to do in the past, it has nothing to do with achievements, it has everything to do with be able to play with some close friends and not be on a empty track. The Ai is there for having race traffic and to make the game have some level of being unpredictable. The 4 people I used to race with every Saturday night have all uninstalled forza 7, some for the AI, and some for others reasons, many of which have since been fixed.
I am happy to see turn 10 listening finally to some of the changes we have been asking for,(maybe too little, too late) and I am hoping that this is something that gets added either to 7 or to 8 when it is made. But I will not buy 8 until I know for a fact that it is there, or this will be my last Forza. Racing with people online is a mess, skill levels vary wildly and I think a lot of kids who don’t know how to drive in real life are playing online, and even with a penalty system I don’t know if online play with randoms would ever be something I would enjoy. I fear the old days of forza and a fun night with a few close race pals are a thing of the past. Instead lets make everyone play together and watch the carnage on twitch, mixer, hulu, Netflix, and tweet about it on interweb so we can get cars and driver suits. No thank you!!

With major changes incoming to FM7, are AI drivers also being added now?
I’d assume so, considering how Turn 10 are approaching the game now, but it’s still unknown if they actually will.
Has anyone received an word on why drivatars were removed from private races? This unfortunately killed the experience for me and my buddies. I would love to get back into this game but without the drivatars in private racing, I just don’t think I’ll go back and could kill the chances of getting the game in the future, which is really disappointing. Some of my best forza experiences has been racing with buddies in a private setting with a full field.
I don’t mind playing MP every once in a while but we all know how that can get bad really quick and single player only holds my interest for so long.
It would be nice to at least get an explanation as to why it’s not included.

Im still not playing the game cuz this miss basic feature.
