LOL.
I’m way more interested in how it plays. Telling people it has revealing bikinis and short shorts is not really on my radar when it comes to game features in a racing game.
I know they have to give a complete picture of a game for those parents who pay attention, but nobody is going to be paying attention to female character clothing when they’ve got a Lamborghini Huracan covered in raindrops, driving under a rainbow. lol
Plus many of the girls i’ve met at car meets are just wearing t-shirts and jeans. I live on the coast, and there is still not an abundance of bikinis down the seafront when the petrol heads congregate. It seems a cheap way to attract teenage boys, the exact same teenage boys who then go online and act like ass-hats.
Isn’t it about time gaming grew up a little in general. It’s things like this that give people an erroneous impression of gamers as immature little boys who like boobies and swearing. lol
I mean, some conventions are starting to stop booth babes, it just needs to trickle down into game development.
I should point out at this point that a friend of my wife is a booth babe, she does all sorts, from gaming conventions to boat shows. She makes a good living out of it, and to be honest, she is a thick a pig[Mod edit - WSD, don’t allude to swearing]. She’s a really nice girl, but not bright, so this line of work was perfect for her, she’s pretty and just stands there. But I’d still see her out of work and having to find another career, than perpetuating this ‘sex sells’ policy, that seems to pervade everything. I mean i love boobs as much as the next man, but the novelty wears off when they’re everywhere you look.
This was meant to be a quick post, and went full on rant. lol. Sorry guys.
I’m just interested to hear what others say really. I can see both sides, but i’d still prefer gaming ‘grew up’ a little. Something like GTA V, it fits to be honest, and that’s ok, but for a game like this, i think this kind of stuff gets shoehorned in to appeal to the knuckle draggers, and it gives the wrong impression from the outside looking in.
