About painting and downloading skins...

Sorry, bit of a noob here and I have a couple of questions. I find myself paintng cars as much as racing and I like to do historically accurate liveries.

My first question is whether you can use a skin on different versions of the game. Can the skin I create for the 2015 Mustang in Forza 5 be used on the 2015 Mustang in Horizons 2?

Is it possible for me to upload an image of my own to use? For instance, I am working on a 1965 Mustang Indy Pace Car and it has a unique Mustang logo that I will probably find no where else. If I created it in Photoshop, can I upload it somewhere or import it into the game?

Last, how do I find out if and of my liveries have been downloaded?

Thanks!
Kevin

Skins from Forza 3 were transferable to 4 and then into Horizon 1. This feature does not exist for the games on the XBOX One.

As far as uploading images; this is a question as old as the livery editor itself and the subject of many an urban legend. Well, wonder no more! There is no importation of images, characters, letters, fonts, shapes, etc. from any outside source. Every paint you see in Forza, from simple stripes to detailed race cars to photorealistic faces were all created in the Forza livery editor. So I would suggest you start experimenting.

To find out if your liveries have been downloaded, on Forza 5 and Horizon 2 you must go to the “Paint” section in your garage and navigate to “My Designs” from there you will see a list of design you downloaded and created. “Click” on one that you have painted and it will give you the stats for number of downloads, likes, uses and rating. Also, if your designs are getting downloaded you should see a message in the message center letting you know that you are either a freelance designer or are getting paid for your work.

Try out the paint booth, post some of your creations here and don’t get discouraged if you are in “Freelance” status for a while, it happened to the best of us. Hope this helps.
