A toast to the small victories

I know there are tens of thousands of leaderboards in this game, that they were all recently wiped and that the player base has dwindled since release.

However, I set my first and probably only #1 time on the world leaderboard today in the vintage GT racing division using my own build and tune.

Sebring full 2:14.7 with a 65 Shelby cobra 427
#1 out of around 13,000 players who have set a time homologated to that division.

It only took seven games and ten years and a leaderboard wipe but to me it’s been a good day and a small validation for my massive time investment into what is ultimately a game.

So now that I’ve done my bragging who’s ready to claim that #1 spot from me? Probably not the most difficult task if I’m honest.

1.14 at Sebring full? That will be hard to beat

Are you sure you don’t mean 2.14.7? Regardless of that, what class?

Yes my mistake I meant 2:14.7

The car was homologated to vintage GT racers at middle of A Class

Thanks for that.

I do hope I didn’t come across as condescending with that, btw, it wasn’t meant that way. That was just a time that I wouldn’t believe unless I saw it, and I wondered if it’d been accidental.

EDIT: My best is somewhere around 2.17.-- with an A class (non-homologated, of course) 1969 Charger R/T, that or it’s my 1968 Dart . . . I honestly forget which one’s faster anymore.

Yes I got a #1 spot and was real excited until I realized that only 24 people set a time and I was looking at the Americas. I dropped a couple of spots on the World Leader Board.

Having raced against you In this division in leagues on FM6, I’m saying that it will be a tough time to beat.

Congratulations. I got a worldwide number one a few weeks ago on one of the tracks from the Nostalgic Drag Racers event. Can’t remember which one, and it’s probably displaced by now anyways. Regardless, seeing 30k people that are slower than you and zero that are faster is a pretty good feeling (even if you know it’s only temporary).

Well done, and I mean that sincerely. I got a couple in the major micros division last month, and was so pleased that I took a photo of the screen
