My biggest problem with F6’s Free Play was that you could only race with Stock cars, so it was impossible to have a close race between cars of a similar PI, like it happened with Career Mode.
Can you have this in FM7?
There are a TONNE of advanced race settings you can adjust, so that you’re up against pretty much who you want to be up against
Fantastic! Thanks!
Yes I was interested in this as well, but after fiddling with it last night, it is almost the same ole Free Play. All cars are still stock unless you choose a Division. I tested it last night, and I was a bit disappointed.
For instance, I turned all restrictions off, with exception of a min/max PI of 597, and what do you know… The entire field is driving the one car that is stock 597, the 99 Dodge Viper. Ugh… Oh yeah, and the paint schemes are just as vanilla as the tunes. When is the “allow updgrades” actually going to mean something?
Indeed, it makes little to no sense, “upgrades allowed” doesn’t seem to have any use (unless it toggles homologation). I really hope that T10 looks at this and gives us the ability to upgrade AI cars to a target PI, and maybe even have a blueprint system to cherry-pick specific cars allowed.
So the only way to get matched with cars of similar PI is to force a division race? Still not the best solution of course, but not as bad as F6 I guess…
Unfortunately, yes. Homologation is great, but they need to open it up to more than Division… Like a general, homogolated restriction for each class. (A class, max pi 750, hp 600, etc…)
