These cars are seriously fun to drive, but I’ve notice that they seem to cause frame rate issues on certain tracks. Homestead Miami is a good example. Anyone else notice this?
I can’t imagine why these cars in particular would be causing this. Unless they’re a direct port of FH2 which runs at 30fps as opposed to 60fps on FM7. Maybe that’s the issue. The cars haven’t been properly optimized for the higher frame rate.
It’s much worse than that, perhaps 10-15 frames per second. I think this has something to do with the drivatars as well. When I race the Corvette (my favorite), the game puts me up against all of the other F&F Cars. Once I get ahead of them, the game functions better. (not always).
So, your saying the poly count on F&F cars is higher than the other cars in the game? Hoonigan cars have high poly counts as do most of the B-Rally (Killer Bees) cars. Some of the large trucks have high polys as well. Yet I have never experienced frame rate issues with any of those cars.
I had a framerate problem as well, but it involved hypercars. I performed a hard reset on my OG Xbone and haven’t seen the problem since. It may be similar to the problem you’re having.
Just raced on Yas Marina circuit - North corkscrew - with those FF Cars. I was driving the AMG and oh yes i had big fps drops. I would say down to 24… on turn 2, 4 when i was in the back when the race started. Even when in front the fps did drop on the first and last sets of turns but not as severe but very noticable.
Adding: Watkins Glen / short alt circuit. Thay was probably the lowest fps drop i had, felt like 12/14 fps when a shooter is locked at 30fps. I left the game running in the ‘event results’ when you finish the race, the fps kept dipping.
I was was doing the evolution championship with those fast and furious cars. Also the issue only started on race number 2.
