A Glitch???

So, I was in a public lobby tonight. We were racing D class and this guy kept ramming me every time I passed him. He said he was ramming into me because I was cheating and running a car with a glitch. I just don’t think he liked me whipping his butt. Anyway, my Mini is very bizarre looking when we’re at the start line or after the race. Everyone who races with me on a regular basis has said the same thing too, in fact, I’ve had 100’s of people say it to me. It looks like the wheels are gigantic. They go all the way up in the wheel wells and they also go below the ground. Its nothing that I’ve done to the car, but it looks very different from every other Mini when we’re racing. I’ve never seen another car look like this and yet mine always does. What’s up with that? Its only my Mini. I bought a second one to see if it would be the same way and it is. It never bothered me until someone used it as an excuse to repeatedly ram me off the road. Do glitches even exist in the game that would allow you to cheat in lobby racing? I think this guy was just off his rocker, but he sounded so adamant about it, that it has me wondering if there is something out there.

Yeah, the guy probably was serious. If he’s seeing such tires on your Mini, he’s probably really is thinking it’s hacked or glitched.

Has for glitches, sure, there are glitches in the game. I have no idea what’s going on with your car though. It’s the first time I’ve personally heard of this specific issue. Hopefully somebody else has heard of this, and can provide some insight.

Update:

I misread the original glitch question. Glitches exist, like the flinstones tires, but I am not aware of any that let you cheat in lobbies. Still, has long has you’ve got those tires, people are going to use that to make the claim that you’re cheating I’m afraid. That’s the exact kind of thing you used to see in the GT series, when people made hybrids. It just screams hack job.

I get the Flintstone car glitch on a few of my open wheel cars.

Class D lobbies are filled with Minis and I have never seen this problem before. If your opponent wants bigger tires he can always run a Ford Raptor. Peace

Some people also just like to ram Minis because they are a perennial LB car (as I’m sure you know well, Lou). Because, how dare you not handicap yourself with a lesser car?

A lot of people who froth at the mouth when talking about wreckers will often turn their heads and wink at folks who like to ram Minis and X-Bows. The idea that other people should have any other say in which (legal) car you choose is probably the one unwritten Forza rule that has never made sense to me.

Are there any actual glitch cars in Forza 5 that are impossible to beat?
I mate of mine constantly tells me that this guy or that guy that won had a glitch car. I just reckon my mate is sour because he was beaten

Nope. Everything is legit within the parameters set by T10. Your friend probably doesn’t quite understand how many crazy fast drivers there are online at times.

I thought so. He’s a bad loser, if he doesn’t win, he calls glitch cars hahaha

It might be you were running a LB car. Not sure how far ahead or how much faster than everyone you were, but if you were destroying people that is what is generally frowned upon in lobbies. Don’t ask me why, it doesn’t make much sense to me as the point is to win the race. However, I don’t find it very fun if there is no one to pass or to race against. Might as well run Rivals if you are just out there hotlapping. I’m sure you are a better driver than many you were racing with so handicap yourself to make it interesting if you want to play multiplayer.

Bingo. Lou you’re in a Mini and you’re not slow in it either. The goofy tire thing was probably the justification needed by the guy to wreck you.

If nobody else is in a Mini and you’re winning easily, you’ll be a target. I’d suggest finding other cars to race that are within the Mini ballpark if you find yourself in a lobby that isn’t friendly towards mini usage. Its weird how it works. If you race something a little different but still clock in top 150s and still torch the lobby you don’t get many problems. I’d recommend that Alfa SZ. I posted two top 40s in lobby and dusted the field and only got messages about where to get the tune.

Its something you’ll need to start getting used to as you get faster. Sometimes its best to satisfy the vocal minority in order to have a pleasant experience.

If you see the guy again, invite me if I have my xbox on. I’ll show him another “glitched” mini. Lmao.

I wasn’t the only one in that lobby running a Mini. We had 7 or 8 racers at one point and 5 of them were driving Minis. I was winning consistently, but I sure wasn’t crushing everyone. To be fair, and consistent, I stayed in my Mini even on tracks like Road America East where the Mini has zero advantage. I even run the thing on Lemans when I’m in a lobby and I get killed on that track. This guy said he singled me out because of the tires, not because it was a Mini. I had some very pleasant and eloquently spoken words for him, left the lobby, and then blocked him. I’m not upset about it, just curious as to what the deal is with my Mini? People can get upset with me for driving a Mini, I get that. However, its what I like to drive in both D and C classes. Its not about winning as much as it is just me having fun. Its why I race primarily in private lobbies.

I tried your Alfa and I was terrible in it. I’ve seen quite a few guys running it very well, but its just not the kind of car I can do well in yet.

Snack, I agree that if somebody is destroying a lobby and DNFing half of the field for more than a couple of races, they should change out of a LB car if they are in one for good manners. Having said that, I have disdain for the individuals who think it is OK to wreck a LB car just because they don’t like it. I’ve been in lobbies that were packed full of great drivers and couldn’t do better than the caboose position. When that happens, I shrug and say “just not my time” and go practice on rivals. I don’t demand that the other drivers start running stock just so I catch up and then wreck them if they don’t comply. I really don’t see any difference between the LB car vigilantes and the griefers.

Lots of people just consider LB cars glitched when it’s more like the game miscalculating PI for certain cars. I’ve heard the glitch car comment on minis before but none of them had supertires on them. As far as LB car use I love it if it’s someone who needs a little assist in bringing a race to the game but I don’t really think super good players need to be pounding races with them. Myself, I just find another lobby if that happens but others in mutiplayer take it and ram them or vote to kick them, block them etc. I don’t think it’s right but people who want to “race the car they really like” usually know it’s a factor they’re going to have to deal with.

The age old gaming saying “Haters gonna hate” applies well here Lou.

Every excuse is valuable when you aren’t winning. Even professional athletes are doing so. Don’t worry about that Lou, they’re just jealous because you’re a winner.

Just find a different car to use, if you’re winning constantly in a leaderboard car 99.99% of the time someone in the lobby will decide you are the reason they are bad. But if you really are good why would you even want to drive a LB car, it’s boring?

Those you spot wrecking people and ruining normal game play, should be REPORTED by going into VIEW GAMER CARD, then Report or block, followed by Report, then select Unsporting behavior. There is then a box to fill in “CRASHER” - disruptive in races, causes wrecks, etc. Followed by Report to Xbox.

If you have the accurate gamertag, in the Xbox One Dashboard, go Friends, in the left column use either “Recent Players” or “Find someone” and put the tag in there. The same reporting system as above is in effect, and you can file the report there.

This sends a report directly to the Xbox LIVE Policy Enforcement Team which will investigate, maybe even visit and observe the offender during gaming sessions, and then ban that person from not just a single game but Xbox LIVE itself.
