Results and feedback

Honest opinion given here, please don t be offended

Hockenheim National

gtFOOTw 1.41.977, had more turn in when at full throttle compared to others, I could put the car where i wanted. Only car to go under 1.42.

HLR Mick 1.42.063, more turn in than Moss’s and less wheelspin. Was really close to get under 1.42

HLR Moss 1.42.177, great car but you need that perfect line or otherwise the torque understeer under full throttle will pull you outside. More time with this car and i break the 1.42.

HLR Prkid 1.42.371, very nice handling, the missing 20hp compared to the other Clio cost you time. A bit of mid exit corner understeer but nothing to be alarmed about.

HLR Sl4yer 1.42.931, great turn in, almost non existent torque understeer. Fastest Gti for now.

RacingBerzerker 1.43.019 (reserve, will not count in standings), nicely tuned, felt a bit heavy on some portion of the track. Would have like a bit more front arb’s.

ONR Furian 1.43.077, i was really impressed with the agility of the car, nicely done Furian. I Would have liked a bit more braking towards the front as I was locking the rear but it was not a factor in the laptime. For what you have done on the car that had a lot against it, well done.

Mikebrfc 1.43.181 (reserve, will not count in standing) up there with Sl4yer’s car Mike. The 6 speed transmission killed it for you. The pi could have been use for more speed. Too many gears changes didn t help also. The tuning is there, not the build. Very well done.

xDeadxZeppLinx 1.43.331, you went with a bit more power and i understand why, but the torque understeer and wheelspin wasn t tamed enough for me to achieve a better time. Having the gears a bit longer would have helped also, I had to change gear in mid corner and didn t like that. The potential is there though.

xDeadxCriMinaLx 1.43.414, you also went with more power and it didn t work out for me. The potential is there, but i would have prefered a bit more turn in off throttle.

Sp01led Jam1e, 1.43.501, stable, nice acceleration but had torque understeer and lacked a bit of turn in. I think a higher tire compound would have helped a lot for grip and to tame a bit of the torque understeer/ wheelspin.

W4RLOCK38 1.43.615, the power build wasn t optimal for this track. The weight also cost you a lot of time in corners. I had to fight the car alot to get that time.

Thanks for running my GTI, was worried about my gears as I couldn’t decide between street or sport tranny. Street felt great for Hockenheim, but horrid for Sonoma. So, I opted for the Sport and just shortened the gears to try and suite both tracks. Thanks again, hope it wasn’t too bad to drive for my first FWD car.

Thanks for the run along with the feedback on the car, it’s certainly appreciated! Yes, I went with all handling on the submitted tune. I also had a second tune with higher HP which I was running the same times (with my average driving skills…lol…), yet, wanted to submit something a little different then the rest. No CSC, all stats with the exception of Speed were better on the lower HP tune. I knew I was giving up a little bit due to speed, yet, hoping to compensate into and out of exits with the handling/accel.

.

I’d like to give it a shot. I have no idea what I’m doing with FWD cars. Need to learn, no better way.

Some people like to completely reverse the arb’s like 1/20 or even 1/40, some reverse the rebound, what ever you do, never reverse the front springs you need them to support the weight of the engine lol. Add a bit of positive toe front and rear to help turn in.

For me , i tune a fwd by keeping the weight ratio distribution and then softing the front a little to have better traction and grip.

Oh, the diff is also very important

I know xCriMinaLx is at work and most likely can’t get to his phone, but I’m sure he’d want in on this. But if it fills up 1st, it’s cool. Just figured I’d throw that out there.

Lol, he JUST texted and asked if I could get him in on this. If that’d be alright, he is in. " xDeaDxCriMinaLx "

He s in
