Hello to all of the Forza faithful. Now I know there are Ford & Chevy people out there. So this is what I decided to do. How about a 1993 Ford Cobra R vs 1990 Chevy IROC-Z battle to settle it in the track once and for all. This was my approach. Both vehicles have bone stock HP & Torque. What did I tune? I tuned the tire pressure, alignment, springs, damping, brakes & differential. They both have the widest stock tires available. They are both fully dialed in and very easy to drive!!!
Now, the Chevy came with a stock 4 speed auto back then in the IROC-Z. On this game, it doesn’t do the car any favors heads up against the Cobra R 5 speed transmission. So both cars have been fitted with a Race Transmission. Both cars transmissions are tuned to stay in the power band! Neither car will do that annoying redline pinging when running down the Old Le Mans 3 mile straight, for example. The Top speed on the Cobra R is 143 mph, while the IROC-Z is 157 mph. That is only relevant at Old Le Mans.
The Cobra R is lighter than the IROC-Z. Both cars have NO WEIGHT REDUCTION. No drive shaft, clutch or fly wheel add ons. They are in pure form with 6 speed manual transmissions, and fully tuned stuff I mentioned earlier.
Now the Cobra R is a D400 & the IROC-Z is a C404 (race transmission made IROC-Z jump to C). Now without race trans, they were 398 & 399 respectively. Despite the barely PI advantage to the Chevy, they are closely matched and will make for some very good head to head racing online with your friends in multiplayer when you Create Private Match.
So if you are a chevy or ford fan & got friends in the same boat, pick up these 2 tunes for the repsective cars. Just hope in respective car & load a tune. Search for my gamertag “gangrel”. That’s it, it’s that simple. Then settle it on the track @ various venues & see who win the pony car battle!
I will update this post with other rival cars. Maintain their stock HP & Torque, but tune everything else like I did Pony Car Battle. Be sure to post comments on your races with friends!
Feel free to pick a rival car battle you want me to do a tune for.
Thanks & enjoy!
P. S. I am a Ford fan, so I didn’t show favoritism to the Chevy. To make it an even playing field, I chose to do race transmission. Otherwise, Chevy would get owned everywhere except Old Le Mans layout.
