Hi everyone, Does anyone know how to keep more than 550 cars on Forza 4? I know 550 is a lot, but I have a lot of cars with paints by myself and other people which I don’t want to get rid of. I know some people have more than 1 game save, but does that mean I need more than 1 XBL profile?
Use a USB stick. You will have your storefront but ingame credits and cars will belong to each USB stick save you use.
Only make sure you start a new game and do not copy a save.
I’ve got 3 Game Saves. 1 on the Hard Drive and 2 on USB’s. I used to have one on the Cloud but have seen how risky that can be so I “Moved” the Game Save to a USB Drive. Anyway, what PocketPoncho said.
You can legitimately have multiple saved games under the same gamertag, as long as you use different hardware - either hard drives or a USB stick (make sure to get a 16-GB stick!).
The thing people may think is that you’ll be protecting your liveries or vinyls by doing this, but you CANNOT transfer those items between the same gamertag on two different hard drives. You cannot Gift to your own gamertag, and you cannot sell on the Auction House and buy from another save, again, same gamertag.
You CAN transfer cars (entirely) by putting them up for Auction, cancelling the sale, then “recover” the car from your second game save device. BUT, the car will be locked since it has been on the AH.
A long way around, really, because each time you move between saves you must recover your profile from Xbox Live. There is no advantage, really, to having multiple saves.
You know you’re my go to guy on every difficult issue Owl, but I have to respectfully disagree with you. The designs are not locked once you pull the car down from the AH. I’ve done this many times to move paints from one game save to another.
I have many different games saves and I find it quite easy to use. Instead of clicking on hard drive to start the game, I just click on the flash drive I want. The advantages to me of multiple game saves are more garage capacity and more bank capacity.
