I managed to do 300 metres yesterday in a Lamborghini Huracan upgraded with snow tyres & rally suspension. From the bottom of the hill, I just took a straight run at it. Took quite a few goes and used rewind a few times but got there.
yea i finally did it… u gotta use a super car with snow tires, i thought since this is a offroad thing in winter you gotta use a fast offroad car but that didn’t work
stupid me for trying to do this logically, apparently exotic super cars are better at offroad jumps than actual offroad cars
No you don’t need a supercar, I manged to get just over 300m with an S1 Toyota Baja (this thing is the bomb offroad, yet can still hit 350k+ on long straights). Annoyingly though the winter challenge target never appeared for me (worked fine in Autumn though).
i managed to get the autumn one… by sheer luck in a konigseggggg thing. absolute rubbish car to try and drive off road over bumpy ground while turning tightly to avoid obstacles
I really dislike the absolute push towards S2 X class cars. There just seems to be no place for anything below S1. I turn up to forza lives in an A class car with my friend and we’re the odd ones out and its boring and so uninspired
I wish there was more in the game that encouraged cars below S
As I put in the FH4 wishlist thread, they could add a whole ton of replayability to the danger signs, speed zones/traps and drift zones if they set targets based on your vehicle’s PI score, even if they just went for a basic system only based on class (would also allow these disciplines to rank up much higher as well). As it is, most of the PR stunts at the moment = get in S2 or X class Hypercar, stick AWD on and off you go.
Sadly, the lack of anything less than A class in online, the auto upgrades given to the starter cars and some of the rivals cars, the lack of open rivals and the fact that 99% of players online are just driving the standard tedious hypercars suggests that we’re firmly in the minority of people that enjoy driving the slower cars.
I can’t do it because it doesn’t show as an event. I’ll try and see is I can beat the target and see if it pops. Not sure if this is because I already did all danger signs. It showed autumn’s.
100%. Also, the radio is just about the worst mechanic. The only season most events can be completed in is summer and all the while you’re subjected to the same awful noise pollution. Just a setting to set the default radio setting would be nice.
Also, the choices for missions are ridiculous. That mini on a shipping container one for example (The Stuntdriver), it’s basically impossible to drive over to the containers (because all photoshoots start ages away from where the photo is to be taken, so logical) drive up them without ending up A) falling down a gap, B) flying off the back or C) carrying remotely enough speed to make the 180* turn, roll up the other side then stop suddenly after being forced to jump. Absolutely ridiculous.
The Lotus Exige mission (British Racing Green) is impossible outside of summer, someone developing Forza needs to get out more because in their world spring means perpetual rain and tarmac turns to ice if it’s wet.
Plus there’s a bug in which exactly 50% of the time the game will decide to take 3 weeks to load, finally load but still the world hasn’t rendered then another 3-5 business days later it loads in, the car appears 8m in the air and wastes at least 3 seconds on the timer as it falls, good luck if the mission has a damage counter.
And damage, absolutely wonderful. While trying to fly round a circuit in a hypercar with brand new ultra-lube tyres there will, as in real racing, be some slow moving astra or ignorant landy to crash into, 98% of the time they’re just round a blind bend almost too conveniently placed to ruin the run.
It feels less like oversight and more like the game studio needs to do some random tests because no sober, functional group of people would display such effortless ineptitude at the one thing they do all day. It’s not like they’re new to this, it’s the 4th game in the Horizon series, they should have half a clue how to do their jobs by now.
