First off, I want to thank the developers for working so quickly to fix all the launch day issues. Nice work guys.
Now my question is a 2 parter, both relating to online multiplayer:
First, are Online Freeroam and Online Roadtrip going to stay as the only two game modes? I don’t like the idea of having to stay around for several randomized events every time I want to play online. In the original Horizon, the only game mode I ever played was Infection, because it was quick, painless, and often extremely fun. Any chance you guys are going to put individual game mode selection/hosting back into the game? In my mind, it would greatly improve the experience.
And that leads me to my second question:
How can you mute other players online? From what I’ve seen so far, the audience online consists of young teens arguing and yelling at each other. Not exactly something I want to be blasting through my TV speakers (or be listening to at all). The few times I’ve played online roadtrip, its been absolutely unbearable due to the other players. I hope there’s something that can be done about this.
TL;DR Please please please add individual game modes back into online multiplayer. I get why you guys are pushing the road trip, its all about the community experience, yadda bladda. But really, as an (almost) adult with things to do, I don’t want to spend the time I have to enjoy this beautifully crafted game listening to hormonal 16year olds argue with each other and be stuck playing game modes I don’t want to play. Just something to consider.
