787b just over 320miles. No connection issues at all. Great fun. am loving these endurance races.
How many people completing this are doing it with a controller?
For those completing it with a wheel set up, does it make endurance racing easier on the fatigue side?
My hands go numb with a controller due to damage to my tendons and I am wondering if its worth investing in a wheel for these type challenges?
Thanks in advance for any input, I really want to complete these type races. Lap board runs over and over are getting boring.
Happy Racing everyone!
I did with a controller. I took two breaks, a longish break at half time and a shorter break around 3/4 time. Sometimes I take Panadol before the race.
Same here. Can we get a Green Thumb Badge? Picked the Audi, can put the power down, less sketchy in the esses etc. Good group, leader did 319 mi. I came in third/315 mi. All that stayed in the race got the 250.
Very annoyed with this I did 313 laps and didn’t get the achievement can some one please explain why 2.4 hours wasted ![]()
I did mine yesterday…nice lobby, all good drivers, but honestly I think that driving GT cars would have been more fun. Driving a prototype on the Ring for 2.4 hours requires an incredible amount of effort and concentration
Had a good run yesterday. Took the Toyota as I already have max affinity for Mazda (in my Miatas), Audi, and Ferrari. Came down to that or the Peugeot, and I just didn’t think I could listen to the vacuum cleaner for 2:40 straight. I almost took the Audi R18 as there was one running exhibition laps prior to the start of the live race. In the end working towards another max affinity won out.
Had a good lobby - 9 started, only one dropped. The 3 in the 787s lapped the rest of us twice, but a Ferrari and I had a good battle for 4th. Didn’t run a blistering pace, but had a little over 300 miles - enough to finish the challenge and have a enjoyable time. Did begin to fade a bit about 90 minutes in, but had concentration back the last 30 minutes, Similar pattern when running 50 laps at the ring in F4.
I do agree that they got the car choices backwards. Should of run LMPs at LeMans, and GTs at Nurburgring. All in all, not a bad way to spend 3+ hours (waiting for room and racing).
Had a less than stellar start - had been driving the ring in the old F1 cars for that achievement and totally botched my braking point for turn 1. Then had to battle my way through the pack with people in front of me all over the road and unable to control their cars. I didn’t push flat out and had few offs when my concentration lapsed. Driving the #1 Audi with a random tune I grabbed and managed only 308 miles - the guy in first drove better and/or had a much better tune and got to 320 and change. We started with 8, one dropped out due to bad connection and the rest finished. I lapped 5 once and 6 and 7 twice over the 308 miles and the guy in first lapped almost the entire field and was just a couple of miles behind me at the end.
The lapped time by them, 5 and 6 got out of the way. 7 drove like we were competing for position both times I lapped him.
Initially I was disappointed it would not be sim damage. In the end, I was glad this was a no-damage event. Wide cars/narrow track/easy to end up in the guard rail because you looked away from the track for a fraction of a second or thought about something else, and inexperienced drivers with full assist (unexpected hard braking) and unpredictably all over the track would have make for several long limps back to the pits.
Managed it in the pug…started wirh 8 in the lobby but an hour or so in was racing by myself…managed 250 miles before I got bored and started to read the track lol hats of to t10 great attention to detail…
Really enjoyed this event and was lucky enough to have two bites at the cherry on this one.
Took the Audi “#1 R18 e-tron” out the first time to get the accompanying ‘use a German car’ achievement and had a fun run but it took me a long time to properly learn the track and where to push beyond my initial caution such that by the end I’d clocked 319 miles, grabbed second (w/ Gold) and was honing in on first place at 322 miles.
Second time around, with a totally free car choice, I took the “#55 Mazda 787B” out since I’d seen it mentioned on here as being rather over-powered and despite my cautious start, got nailed on the first corner and lost the rear wing. Thank the heavens for the no damage sim part then! Picked myself up and took a bit of time to get used to the Mazda, which I’d say was not as good as the Audi in the twisty stuff at holding the road but which was much better at putting the power down out of slow speed corners and faster on the straight. Eventually got out in front and never looked back. Ended up first at 333 miles with second place at 321.
Overall, I am really loving these events and I will agree with the decision made to switch the damage part of the sim off. It’s a shame it can’t have tire and fuel simulated and damage sim off (like former times) but based on my erratic driving it made for a far less onerous experience.
Passing cars was a scary prospect because even though I didn’t have any drivers trying to push me off the road on purpose I did encounter back markers that defended their position - you’d think that if after an hour plus of racing a blue dot closes on you in the mini-map at ‘many seconds per lap’ you’d guess this wasn’t the car behind you in the race and move over! Not so apparently - at least not all the time.
Mind - even when some drivers did their utmost best to get out of the way (thumbs up to PrototypePK here!) it can still give a few heart-stopping moments as you suddenly have to yank yourself out of the tow you were aiming for as the chased car heaves right and slams on the anchors early to give you the next corner! Luckily, I think my driver’s race suit is of a dark material!
Looking forward to seeing what endurance events come up next. This is only my third event after the Indy 500 and 2.4 Heures de Le Mans and I’m really enjoying the challenge of getting an eye in for the track and trying to find my fastest consistent pace. Great fun!
Got down to ten minutes left and got disconnected. Not gonna make another attempt.
507 km/315 miles first try with the toyota and a random setup and won. 13 started and 8 finished the race. Lapped 1 guy 3 times and used the long straight to stretch my arms and vingers.
Loved it! But i wish we could say that you have to do manadatoy pitstop or something because its hard on the vingers
Good event! Just entered for achievement , as such, pulled off track at start, spent 3 mins warming tyres in GP section, then went for it. Thanks T10 P.s only had weak connection mssg when nearing other players.
My ears are still ringing from using the Mazda 787B through my Turtle Beach’s.

Lol, i know that feeling well. Used mine for the LeMan event.
Fun race. 2nd race 283 miles for gold. 3rd race 200 miles for bronze. 1st try was tons of jitter (network connection not weak, but it’s an ISP issue), disconnected after 30 min.
Maybe there is something to be said for SmartMatch and just waiting out the long lobby times. I tried that this race - 1st lobby was 2 hr wait, and the other drivers did seem to be a good match for my skills. 2nd lobby next day was 40 min wait, and we were all running the same lap for an hour. 1st place was 303 miles I think, well below most races we hear about here. The coolest thing about it: 5 of us were basically the same skill level, driving well then messing up, trailing and passing each other constantly, with the occasional 2-car crash - but we were all respectful of each other: waiting to pass, not pulling in front of a faster car when recovering, etc. I was glad for the company and didn’t care about getting guardrailed a few times: I knew we were going to make the 250-mile mark as long as we kept at it.
btw here is the XP/points breakdown as I’ve seen it:
1ST - 60,000
GOLD - 60,000
SILVER - 60,000
BRONZE - 60,000
200 MILES* - 60,000
*must be in the race and moving at 0:00:00 to get credit
Slower than 200 miles also gets credit I think, but I don’t know what the lower-miles points are.
XP affects your level and your Affinity. Credits are factored by the usual multiplayer items (assists, opponent level).

I tried to do this Friday, got an hour and a half in and had to go do some things. Plugged my controller in and walked away with way less than 200 miles(was not moving at 0:00:00) and still got the same amount of XP/credits that my buddy did and he ran 320 miles.
I enjoyed the event. I used the #1 Audi. I was in the lead by the time we reached Adenaur Forst on the first lap.
After three or four laps I went to check the status of my tires only to realize that Cosmetic damage was on and I would be driving the 2 hours and 40 minutes with no pit stops. My hands settled in for the stint which was sure to leave me with achy knuckles and stiff fingers.
I lapped the whole field once, a couple of them twice. (Even lapped the dreaded Mazda 787s.)
It was a fun race I just wish someone in my lobby would have been able to keep pace with or outpace me. It was like a really long hot lap session for me.
Had a great time. Lobby started with 16, ended with 7 unfortunately. I ended up using the 787B just because of the speed, even though I wasn’t as comfortable with it.
After the mayhem in the first corner I got back on the track in 14th. Fought up to second in the first lap, then spent the next 120 miles fighting to catch up to first. Just as I was about to catch him, he quit for some reason, so it was boring clear sailing from there.
Ended up with 334 miles, tired fingers, and a tired controller. I love these endurance events regardless. Looking forward to more of them.
Just finished the event with about 495km driven in my Audi R18 E-Tron. Ended up in 8th, as I never had any plan to go for a win. There were 14 cars when the race started, and only 2 quit. 2-3 cars stopped racing after the first laps, and just farted around about mid-way of the course for some reason. As usual, the grid was filled with Mazda 787s. This event wasn’t too much fun, and would’ve been MUCH better with R class cars. It never got boring, however, but it was hard to keep the concentration up. Oh well. At least there weren’t too many wall riding lunatics and no crashers in the lobby. ![]()
